First thing to know - this item is shipped deflated. You will need to inflate this upon receipt. So make sure you have a sports ball inflation needle and a hand pump/bicycle pump/air compressor available in order to do so. It isn't hard, even if inflating by hand. The rubber is nice and thick with appropriate texturing for easy grip/handling. My kids got several of these for Christmas and have used them regularly for four-square, dodgeball and kickball all all have stood up to the vigorous play. They get left out in the yard between uses, and have not developed any cracks or signs of deterioration after 6-months. I will come back and update should we have any failures, but I don't expect to. These are bright and colorful and well made playground balls.

Excellent playground ball! I just wish it came with a pump. My kids were so excited to go outside and play with them (I ordered 2) but to our disappointment, they were not inflated when they arrived. I had to ask hubby to go to the store to purchase a pump for this when he got off of work. My kids were bummed they had to wait a whole other day because dad didn’t get off until later that day.

Playground balls can be enjoyed by everyone in the family. We had a great kickball game at the park and it was a reminder of the simpler life and school yard fun.

I purchased these playground balls for our school's recess periods...Money raised by our PTO was used to buy supplies....The price was great and they arrived in a timely manner...But we have only been using them for 3 weeks or so and already one of the balls is flat..We have inflated it several times but it has a leak somewhere...I think that it is the valve...I hope that none of the other balls goes flat since we were relying on Voit being a company that makes products that are meant to be kicked and thrown around..Hence the name kickballs..Thank you

kids born after the 80s will never know the perils of the voit ball in sculpting their adulthood, the true fear you felt when the class bully had the tag ball in hand and had you in their sights knowing only the impending pain unless you could dodge the ball, you would train at home with your step father throwing wrenches knowing deep down that if you can dodge a wrench, that you could in fact didge a ball.

I got tired of buying a ball from Walmart. I don't know what they are making them with but they do not stay inflated. This one is great. No problems. Soft and Very Bouncy.

The ball got a hole after one week and won't stay deflated. Just didn't hold up.

At first it seemed to be a good quality ball. Seemed thick and strong but it eventually started cracking and leaked after a few months. I thought it would've lasted longer but it's not a very expensive ball so it's not too bad for the price.
