I definitely made a mistake for buying this to a 5 year old kid, I don’t believe that’s a good fit because it’s too tall for him, but he does enjoys it, and so am I, it’s very smooth, the brake is incredibly firm which prevents where-out to early, and the its designed beautifully, and it’s not too heavy, a 5 year old can definitely handle it.

These are great scooters, sturdy, well packaged and easy to assemble. Came with the hex key wrench and that all you need. My 2 boys are rough and have broken several other scooters. These ones withstand the use.

Bought this for my 10 year old son. I've ridden the scooter and I weigh about 245 250 and it held up. Of course I wouldn't ride this every day, but for a younger kid pre teen would be great.
