So my wife and I drive a Sprinter van for a living as expediters. One of the most annoying thing is stopping to refuel at a gas station and pulling up to a pump and doing the credit card thing only to have the fuel nozzle NOT insert into the tank of our van! It’s a 2021 Mercedes for goodness sake! Well if that gas station ever had to replace their fuel nozzle because someone drove off with it in the tank, they often replace it with one of the gas ones and not the diesel ones ( they look similar but only the real diesel ones work in the Mercedes). And since it’s not the right one the little “gate†that flips out of the way won’t open. It was designed by Mercedes to prevent us from putting gasoline into our diesel van. Thanks…This little nozzle inserts and opens that gate so you can still stay at the pump you’re at and not have to drive around. It also works with the BIG high flow nozzles the truck fuel islands use BUT definitely not at full speed!!! You’ll have to slowly nurse it. But this product also comes with a handy plastic jar to put it in when you’re done filling up too, and that keeps your van from smelling like diesel fuel. One last note: DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THE PUMP WHILE REFUELING! The fuel cutoff doesn’t work in time before the diesel sprays all over you and the van and on the ground. So listen carefully and shut it off when you start to hear the gurgles coming from the tank, telling you it’s pretty much full and stop the flow of fuel. It also comes with gloves to handle when your done filling up. Now I’m done being angry at the gas stations with the wrong nozzles.

My Sprinter has a very delicate Diesel funnel that is designed to accept only diesel nozzles from the gas stations and nothing else. While this is a great security feature that would prevent me from accidentally filling y tank with regular gas, which has different nozzle, some gas stations have irregular diesel hose nozzles that do not allow me to pump diesel. Also commercial gas stations have completely different nozzles too. This is where this gizmo comes to play. It fits perfectly in my Sprinters funnel and slows to use any non-standard nozzles with ease. And I like the fact that this funnel comes with its own small cylindrical storage tube, so I can carry it with me in the salon not selling any diesel.

I used to get anxious pulling into new gas stations because a lot of them around here only have the larger truck nozzle that doesn't fit in my diesel car. This is super easy to use and eliminates that worry. I regret not getting it sooner.

It is a little hard to get it work without spilling diesel all down the car but fits in the filler neck perfect

This funnel isn’t for just VW Diesel vehicles, while yes I know it was designed for them, my spouse uses the funnel specifically for adding diesel additives prior to full ups. The container it comes with helps maintain the smell and keeps the door pocket tidy & free from residual fluid after use.Definitely will purchase again for our next diesel vehicle.

if you have a diesel you need this. guarantees you can fuel up at places that put handles with the wrong diameter nozzle on their diesel pumps.

Perfect size to open the safety mechanism on VW/Audi/Porsche diesel vehicles. I use it with my 2013 Touareg TDI. Great quality, gets the job done! I do recommend placing a funnel inside of this adapter for an mess free pour.

Good for using at the truck stop when the nozels to big. Work with quite a high flow of diesel. Better than holding the pump at the entrance and firing it in.
