Build quality was good, the sound it makes was quite attracting for the kids. My son installed it by himself and played with his little sister on it for lots of time. But be sure to keep an eye on them not to swallow the little marble, or make sure they know they should not do that. Purchased it when it was on sale, it is good for the price.

The instructions make it pretty easy to set up. I didn't like how many stickers there are to add to so many different pieces.There are instructions for 3 different configurations, but the first 2 are kinda lame. The most complicated one is the one pictured.My son was pretty entertained with the race for a while, but we wanted to make a different obstacle.Good:They supply a little bit more pieces than needed to build the most complex setup.You can create your own setup.The instructions are pretty clear.Encourages creativity and planning.Bad:There's not really enough pieces to create something elaborate .The stacks are kinda flimsy.Can get old pretty quick.Maybe if you have another set of VTech Marble Runs, you could create more elaborate setups and could be more entertaining. Otherwise, it'll get old quickly and then there's quite a lot of pieces to clean up afterwards.

Great purchase. I purchased this after I received the smaller version. My son who is 2 loves these marble rum. Mother of 3 I connected one with the other and you can make them larger. I even bought more marbles to make the fun continuous. Funny to know he wasn't the only one having fun but me as well making many designs for his play. My 8 and 11 year olds also enjoy the play. Recommended for the whole family

3 boys ages 13 to 3 a girl 8 yrs old, son 45, and me, gramma 75. Fun to put together the directions are easy, very sturdy, colorful, fun to play with, to redesign and so many marbles to walk on! I thinkni have gotten 4 sets, we are not tired of them yet.
