After reading some reviews about the train malfunctioning I must admit that I almost returned it, but glad I didn't. This set is absolutely amazing and my 3 year old and 5 year old love it. It's fun to build it, sort of like Lego style, and everything works as expected. The train is an awesome extra and kids' favorite part of it. IT does stop sometimes, but it's so easy to slide the button to restart it that even a 2 year old could handle it just fine. Don't trust negative reviews, just get it!

I'm giving this a 5 star review. Simply because my kid really likes it. I, on the other hand, need therapy - after seeing what I've seen with this item.As info: I set this one up as a "Level 3." Because my kid is super smart. And apparently - with me buying this product - I am not.Pros:Very very easy to put togetherSturdyLots of playability time, and surely not a boring toyCons:You have got to be absolutely kidding me with the train. It simply does not - and cannot - make one lap around without going off the tracks. It's like a drunk passing a bar and stopping for a beer. It's inevitable.I followed the instructions, and to a T, about resetting the power button and then proper placement on the track. That doesn't work. I - we - have to manually reset the train. So with that being said...The train does indeed pick up the dropping marbles from the red tower chute. And flawlessly. Applause and thank you. But - that's if it even makes the turn to the red slide. Then the marbles do not fall in to and down the red slide, unless there are 3-4 of them in the swinging bucket. My kid already realizes this, and picks the marbles out of the bucket with her fingers, because she knows they won't fall out on their own.So when I'm not pulling out what's left of my hair when I fix the train, I'm playing the game of Operation, trying to get the stuck marbles out of the white squares. What? You say....So the white foundational pieces, while solid and right on with the snapping together while building, contain squares, which have open holes in the middle, which are the exact same flipping size to hold and trap a marble - the same marble that came off the track, slide, chute, elevator, etc. And oh yes - those same marbles will for sure come off and on to the squares. Problem is - you'll need to keep closeby an ink pen, tweezers, needle, whatever - because you sure as sin can't pull the marble out with your fingers. Curse you design team at V-Tech.And the elevator - when placed vertically - sounds like a dying duck. And this after putting in good quality fresh batteries. It sounds likes it's grinding gears and has little power. So I spend more time chaperoning and performing quality control duties to clean up the aforementioned design flaw miscues than I do enjoying the movement and motion. But my kid is loving it - and that's all that matters. I don't want to kill anyone's livelihood with a Karen review. Merry Christmas.

It's a great toy. My son liked it very much. It works great, but it needs a perfectly flat floor. I even play by myself a lot, not just with my son.

This was our second Rush marble run set. We love them and love that they all work together. Easy to assemble, lots of fun, vibrant colors. My 4 year old helps me but it is kinda hard for him to “design†one or follow how it goes together with the instructions. Great for a family time project.

Most V-tech toys are very high quality, however, this set was disappointing. The main piece (the elevator conveyor) is made with such flimsy rubber that it will not pick up or support the weight of the marbles. We have tried multiple times, but it does not work. It is also very hard to attach without falling over. For the price, I would have have liked more pieces that actually work.

This was a present for my grandson’s seventh birthday. He loved putting it together and the finished result. This one is his third VTec marble run, he has had hours of fun with them.

Train rendered useless by the teeth on the gear breaking off. The train requires the user to press down on it to make it move. When my kid pressed on it we heard a few clicks and then they let go. The train will only moved a couple inches by itself without intervention. After pulling off the bottom a few of the teeth on the wheel axel gear were snapped off.VTech calls this 'accidental damage' and will not honor a warranty and does not have replacement parts or the train for ordering.1) The train was used as directed. This was not accidental. Kids toys are usually designed to handle gear slipping when held by a child.2) Not allowing a customer to order replacement parts out of their own pocket is absurd. We now have a $60+ half functioning set.Amazon customer service (once again) does an amazing job in shipping out and entire replacement set and we will return the broken train back. Hopefully VTech eats this cost.

Hi,The box arrived shabby, very twisted and when we started building, we realised that many parts were missing so we cannot build the whole marble run.

Surprise surprise, the constant movement of the marbles without much effort from the human is actually not great from an engagement perspective...the train is fun, for a little bit, it doesn't work reliably. The ultimate set, launch pad and corkscrew are way more engaging, I hope VTech dial back the hands off/automation parts and focus on the all the STEM parts that are part of the previous sets in the webpages. all that stuff + the robustness of the set and the correct size of the pieces for all ages is a huge draw card and why I've gone all in on Marble Rush for my three! VTech have nailed it!as mentioned happy with the set, glad I have all the others though! Lego and GBC (Great Ball Contraption) where Lego is building block to make an automation is the sweet spot rather than providing all the pre-built machines. This set has gone all in on ABS plastic that the Ultimate Set seems to have started on (I've got the Corkscrew/Launch Pad after Ultimate 5432 and the mix of ABS & PP in Corkscrew/Launch Pad is noticeable, ABS is next level) - the ABS fits way better, corkscrew and launch pad have very loose fitting pieces...

We have a couple different marble run versions and this one if by far the best!! It’s one of the larger builds, and the different components keep the boys entertained!
