If you want to save money and are willing to stretch your own canvas, this is a great option. The canvas is sturdy and good quality. My fiancé still adds a coat of gesso, but we’ve stretched quite a few canvases from just one roll. It’s also nice to be able to create your own sizes, definitely economical considering one 3’x4’ canvas can cost $200 or more each!

I used this as the backing for a homemade 4x3 frame. I had a photo printed on polyester and my homemade frame needed the canvas first or the wood frame and braces would show through. Turned out great!

I didn't realize that canvas is hard to work with. After stretching this material there were sags. However after looking online I found that you could get rid of them by using a hair dryer. So everything worked out well

This canvas is really great. It is really smooth being that it is already primed, so I'm not going to add gesso to it. Saves me a lot of time!

Not useable for artists. Regular horizontal lines every 3" or so on 3 rolls I bought. These noticeable indentations do not go away when stretched. Not suitable for artwork imho.Have not seen this problem with other "double primed" canvas from others.

Used to make custom-sized painting canvas. The surface is much smoother than normal painting canvas and I have yet to test how well paint adheres to the canvas surface. Great pricing for the large canvas provided though.

My father has made a living selling his oil painting renditions of the Rocky Mountains and other landscapes/seascapes since the 1960's. He is retired now, and he no longer goes out to the big city to get supplies. He tried this, and he loves it.
