Function:
Inflate 1 lb cylinders with large cylinder to achieve the effect of reusing disposable gas bottle.
Built-in Safety Function:
The built-in safety function can ensure that you will never fill the 1lb gas bottle.
How to Inflate the Propane Gas:
1. Put the empty 1 lb cylinders in a freezer for several hours.
2. Put your 5-40lb propane tank upside down and attach the QCC1 connection to your propane tank. Close the 1/4'' on-off control valve.
3. Install the 1" x 20 Female throwaway cylinder thread on the 1lb tank cylinder.
4. Open the 5-40 propane tank cylinder valve and then tun on 1/4" on-off control valve.
5. When the flow of propane gas stops, please shut off the 1/4" on-off control valve and remove the 1 lb cylinder.
Attention:
Because the gas is highly flammable, you must refill your 1lb cylinder tank out of the door and stay away from flames and sparks.

This valved adapter works great for filling 1 lb green and 14.4 oz blue propane bottles from a 20# (or larger) tank! Simple operation to fill up the small portable tanks, but make sure to use caution when doing so - this operation has an inherent amount of risk and danger. The on/off valve is quite useful for metering and shutting off flow, and gauge is good for showing bottle gas pressure (if it needs to be purged before filling or not). Great value for the money, as over time this will save $$ and give you some self-sufficiency!Do inspect your bottles before filling, and leave the pressure relief valves alone - these will leak if you mess with them!Suggestion: write the tare weight of the empty cylinder on each one, along with maximum fill weight (tare plus listed capacity). The green 1# bottles are approximately 14.5 oz empty, and the blue 14.4 oz bottles are approximately 16 oz empty. Weigh your own, as brands and styles may differ. YMMV.Overall, I'm satisfied and this is worth the investment!

Not a bad way to fill small propane tanks. The setup is fairly heavy duty and the valve works well and is solid. The gauge on the other hand is useless other than to show you the system is pressurized. The gauge doesn't cause problems, it just serves no real purpose. Only improvement I could see would be moving the valve further away from the tank so it was easier to reach when the tank is upside down. Good value for the price and will probably last forever. The extra brass cap is just an add-on: it works well and I ended up buying more of them for my extra 1lb tanks.

The gauge does not work. There’s not enough pressure to put the propane in the small tank. I messed with the valves and turned the tank upside down and got the same result. This is junk.

It's a nice unit for filling the 1 pound tanks. It take a bit of time to have to unscrew the tank to let out some of the air, but it works. Just make sure to have the big tank upside down when filling.
