We have 3 doodles that we groom ourselves, and we like having more than one set of clippers so we can switch them out or two of us can cut at the same time. We have a corded clipper that works great and is just a little more powerful than this one. We love that one, but trying to keep the cord out of the way of the cut, the dog, and my body is a chore. Grooming is enough of a chore without having to worry about the cord. I love this Wahl clippers. It charges pretty fast and it fits well in my hand. I don't get tired holding it for long periods. The blade is perfect and cuts great. The motor is not too noisy, and doesn't bother our dogs, although I will say they are used to being groomed, so you might have a different experience. Doodle hair can be a pain to groom. It's thick, it's curly, it mats, and there's a lot of it. So it takes a good while to get a good groom, and several tools to make it the way we like it. Plus, our doodles hair is different from each other. One is more wavy, one is curly, and one has tight ringlets. So the cut is different for each one of them, but the Wahl can handle them all with no problem. It does heat up after a bit, hence the reason we have the other clippers to switch over to when needed. This is my personal favorite, though. My hands aren't that big and some clippers feel like they were made for a lumberjack, but this is sleek and easy to hold. Looking forward to using it for a long time.

Most of them are poodle mixes or other dogs with curly coats.The cordless nature of this clipper is a game changer. I can't see going back to either of my other sets, which are both corded. The fact that this set has two included batteries means one can charge while the other is being used. Charging time is quick with the included charger, so that one battery is fully charged within the three hours the other battery should last. Users should note that the charging stand is made to be left out. That is, the batteries (and the clippers when not in use) sit vertically in the charging base, making it look professional and organized for a shop. The batteries are loaded and unloaded into/from the clippers without much effort and by simply pulling/pushing on them - no buttons or switches to engage.The clippers themselves are amazing. The grip is comfortable, and the product with battery installed is lightweight and natural-feeling. Even on the lower setting, the blade cuts through thick coats without having to make second passes, resulting in smooth and even lengths.Noise was comparable to other similar-priced clippers I've used and decidedly lower than the under-$100 products.Given that it's a Wahl, I expect it to last.

I am not a professional, and even though I have used different types of clippers before, I have never seen one at such a steep price. I had to do some research and find out why this particular WAHL clipper is so highly rated.First off, if you're grooming your own pets, do yourself a favor and use cordless clippers for a more comfortable experience for all parties involved. These clippers are not only cordless but they come with two interchangeable batteries. The description says you can use each battery for up to 4 hours! That is a lot of grooming and that is one of the reasons, this would be great for professional groomers. Another important detail is the Lockguard technology, which makes it easy to switch between blades. Keep in mind that these clippers does not come with extra blades. You will have to order them separately. I also find it very useful that it has a battery display, although with 2 batteries, you really shouldn't run out of juice too often. They are bigger than other clippers, but lighter than I expected them to be and pretty comfortable.They are easy to use and very powerful, they do a very precise job even in areas that are more difficult to shave. If you are an experienced groomer, you will most certainly appreciate the way these clippers work!

Wahl is a household name in the world of hair clippers and my first ever pair was a corded set of Wahl clippers.They worked great until I upgraded to cordless which makes life so much easier. Finding a Wahl cordless clipper like this is the best of both worlds!The set comes with two removable battery, charger / stand, and the clippers. The clippes actually has two power settings, so you can increase or decrease it as needed. The two batteries means you will never run out of power as you can have one charging while you use the other. I love how easy it is to snap off the blade so you can clean it. This thing has some real power! What I like most about this is the hot-swappable battery design. Most of the clippers I have used have built in batteries, meaning once it runs out of power you are dead in the water until you charge it. Not with these! Since the battery detaches, you can just swap it and keep going. A truly masterful design meant for professionals who need to use the clippers all day long. The one draw back in the price, since it is very expensive. If you are a working processional though, it might be worth the investment. You need a trusted name brand product and a unique design clipper to keep you mobile and on the go all day long.
