These came in a basic cardboard box with mountain tools, no directions, and no company/manufacturer information. They are each wrapped in a thin bubble wrap. Upon taking them out of the package, I was surprised that they where not engendered wood, but a flakey and thin pressboard. The edges of the "wood" was very rough and not sealed but simply painted over. There doesn't appear to be any flame-retardant, so I would most certainly suggest NOT burring candles on them. The surface of the arches are fine, they have a nice depth to them that makes them feel like authentic windows, but they aren't perfect and there are plenty of dings or gouges. The base sits in with two little notches that screw into the frame, giving it a bit more support than attaching to the outside of the frame, but I wouldn't trust these with heavy things. I want to give it a 3, but it is essentially as pictured. It does a job.

I like the different look of these gothic style sconces. They are solid and easy to put together. The small bottom shelf just has to be screwed into the main piece with three screws on each sconce. They provide two hooks on the back to hang them with and all the necessary screws and fittings. I choose to just hang them with heavy duty Velcro strips. They are lightweight so that was not a problem. Our main dresser was in need of some decoration on either side and these sconces worked out great! You can easily change out what added decorations to the shelf for any season- very versatile!

I was really impressed by the quality material used to put them together. The screws to connect the two pieces are wood screws and are very strong. I used painters tape to mark the screw holes for easy installation. Then you simply put the tape on the wall where you would them hung. They're the perfect size for a bigger glass jar candle. The flate black color goes really well with my paint in the dining room. Great value for your money.
