The hay feeder is very well made. Very sturdy and easy to put together. My 7yr ol son put it together. All pieces and tool needed come with the feeder. Very useful for sheep and goats.

Good product, easy to put together. But the squares in the face are too small for the horses to get the hay out. So we cut one cross out near the bottom and that seems to work well. Also, mounted on our 5-ft fence, the horses just pulled the whole flake out the top, with the flake often landing outside the fence. So we cut a welded wire cove that and attached it to the front so the horses can’t pull from the top.

Well, I was really hoping the bottom tray would prevent huge chunks of hay from dropping all over the floor but that is not the case. It's EVERYWHERE. Stepped, pooped, and peed on by goats all the time. So it doesn't work as I had hoped. Seems sturdy. The rubberized coating is nice to prevent rust. Overall good buy, just need to train my goats to stop being so freakin' messy. Never happening.

Was looking for a way to keep my sulcate tortoise enclosure a bit cleaner and since my tortoises refuse to use a plate and fork when eating, I purchased this item. It's working great! they all come up to the feeder easily grab what they want. Spaces b/w the grill front are the perfect size so that hay does not fall out (others I tried had spaces too big and left a bigger mess). Use the front tray area for extra treats. Ie: veggie scraps and fruit. Will be attaching this feeder to either the side wall of their enclosure or the the side wall of their winter "house" so that it doesn't get knocked over, requiring me to drill holes in the back panel of the feeder.Only suggestion... Fewer screws to have to put together would be nice and holes in the back panel so that you have an alternate way to secure to a structure. My tortoises are happy and I'm not having to rake up their messes as often. Thanks!

Maybe my horse is just tough on things but the front screen was bent/bowed within one week so I had to take it off. Even though I secured all the screws tightly they came off relatively quickly.

I'm impressed with the sturdiness and smooth edgesI'd like the versatility of being able to attach it in different placesPersonally we mounted a Four by four in the barn and attached it there. I'm a little concerned that the holes in the rack maybe too small For The horses to get the hay out. Time will tell. It looks great. It looks well built
