The WarmFuzzy brand insect reel is a great set of disks for a viewfinder. The pictures are all all pretty clear with no blurriness. You really get a vivid picture of some of these creepy crawlers. My 5.5 year old was really intrigued by this and it was a fun learning activity. Would be a good classroom item to have. I think the value is there-you do need a view finder obviously in order to use these and this doesn't come with that part.

The colors on these slides are much better and more saturated and bright than the colors on the “discovery†brand that came with my brand-name “viewfinder†reel viewer.The sad thing is one disk has bad alignment for the pictures, where the slides don’t match up, and so the intended image is clearly double and hard to look at. A second questionable disk has the same issue, just not as bad as the other one. Four of the disks are fine.So 2 out of 6 of the disks/reels have an issue. If the alignment wasn’t off, I’d give the set 5/5.

These six reels of insects and spiders provides a welcome departure from video screens for our toddlers. They're fascinated by the 3D images, even for "yucky" creatures.
