I ordered these birds of prey and exotic birds viewfinder reels for my children. This set includes 6 reels (3 birds of prey and 3 exotic birds) each with 7 images. The images are clear and feature an interesting array of birds. This set does not come with a viewfinder, although, these worked perfectly with my old one from my own childhood. There is a hard sided storage case included. Overall, a fun, nostalgic toy I can share with my children.

A lot of the slides in this batch seem to have a problem where one of the two pictures that makes up the image looks smeared - with strips of lines coming off the sides of the bird(s). I’ve had several sets of “Warm Fuzzy†brand slides, and this is the first set where I’ve noticed this issue. It’s on a lot of the pictures in this set, too. The pictures also have a lot of black grainy spots, like damaged old slides would. Maybe they’re trying to add “character†to the images? But this time it’s a lot of interference on the images. It’s very distracting.Again, other sets from this company have been great, but this particular one has many issues (the set I received, at least).

I love my old Viewmaster, and I'm always looking for for new discs.This set of bird images is well made and well packed, in a sturdy plastic case to keep them safe. The discs for and function perfectly in my decades old viewer. The images are widely varied and the birds are really beautiful.Unfortunately, I have no idea what most of these birds are! The discs do not have any text to show in the description window of the viewer, and there is no form of identification anywhere in the package. That defeats the educational purpose of these discs, and it's a big letdown for kids who want to know everything.
