WARN told me after I ordered this that it wouldn't work with my VR EVO 10S, but I tried it out and it works perfectly. I can't access the socket because of the way my bumper is designed and we had trouble mounting the control box on top of the bumper. I have this run up to an access door in the front of the bumper and I can plug my remote wire in at that location into this socket extension.

Mounted in the bumper it would have been beneficial it's a portion that mounted in the bumper was a little bit longer but it did the job.

Terrible design. To mount you must either cut the wire in half and re-splice once you’ve fed it through the mounting hole, or drill a hole so large that you need to add a backing plate or something else to cover the exposed area. I chose to cut and splice. BTW, despite what WARN says, it works with the EVO 10

The product works for my vr12 but there's also an issue with it. I drilled a 1 1/8" hole in my truck fender to pass the cord through. The "d" connector wont fit through because of the corners. If you go any bigger with the hole then the socket that gets screwed to the body won't cover the hole. Even a 1 1/8" hole is pushing it. I ended up using a triangle file to cut the corners into the round hole and I used black silicone covering the back of the socket and around the edges to cover where the corner cuts stick out. It doesn't look bad and wasn't much extra work, it just seems like something Warn would have caught before they put this product on the market.

Way to expensive for what it is considering the quality.

Any reason why a cable cost $100 ? Give me a break. A $10 item.

This product is completely incompatible with my Warn Reflex 8000lb winch.
