Not happy.1 guage never came..the one that did says my engine temp is about 124.funny cause havnt started it in a week.Tried everything it's stuck there.Wouldn't of even gave a star but forced to.complete trash. Was ripped off for 70 bucks.going to river just have to order another set from someone else.

So no where in description could I find the thread pattern. Size of probe and so forth.I ordered because it was one of very few that start at 0*C and that was important to me as I wanted to be able to monitor the temp rise as my outboard warmed up.This does not fit a 2001 johnson 40-50hp 2 stroke with out extensive modification of something. The brass sending unit body is very thin and filled with grease as it should be. What I did was remove the original body of the sending unit... and form a new one from aluminum on my lathe...grease fill it and pressure form the seal to the plastic. Yes it works as intended.Things to consider will dissimilar metals cause you an issue? Is there room for a standard plumbing size fitting. The OEM johnson port is 1/8"×27NPT and this items is closer to 1/4" NPT anyhow hope this info helps someone.
