Your cart is empty. The Watts 1/2" Standard Duty Bronze Float Valve is a mechanical float valve that is used in applications where heavy duty isn't required, but protection and control of high water flow is still needed, such as in air conditioning, refrigeration, and irrigation systems.
These float valves boast replaceable seal and 1/2" male NPT threaded inlet and outlet connections. Furthermore, their cotter pivot arm assembly provides a stable pivot point for the float arm, securely holding it in place and allowing it to be adjusted to set the desired water level. Meanwhile, the plunger assembly with seals controls the flow of water into the tank, helping the plunger withstand water pressure and ensuring a tight seal when closed.
Crafted from durable bronze, the Watts Standard Duty Bronze Float Valve is built to last. The high tensile manganese bronze long and short arms provide additional strength and resilience. It operates efficiently at a maximum working pressure of 125 psi (8.7 bar) and can handle temperatures up to 180° F (82° C), making it suitable for a variety of settings.
Additionally, these float valves are equipped with serrated arms, which allow for easy and precise adjustment of the water level, a functionality that ensures that optimal water levels are maintained with minimal effort, significantly enhancing the efficiency of your water management system. This valve can be conveniently tank wall-mounted as well, providing versatility in installation options and meeting the demands of various systems with ease.

Purchased to replace a swimming pool fill valve, but I’m going to have to replace it after only a couple weeks. The valve seemed very stiff out of the box, and I’m finding it creates a strong water hammer effect once installed. Funny that the old valve it replaced was basically just a toilet float valve; it worked effectively but eventually broke, and I thought going to a more robust bronze valve would be better, but I think I’ll just go back to the simple valve. Combined with the float and stainless arm, this was a waste of $70.

Faulty from the start! Rubber will not seal tight enough to stop the water flow at 42 psi. No matter how much you adjust the float the water will not stop flowing. waste of time and money. Poor quality control!

Re-ordered this valve for the second time because first order was wrong size ( sent 3/4 inch).Received second order and valve is again not 1 inch but 3/4 inch.Sent second valve back for refund, but had to put 1st valve in service as I needed somethingto get project working.
