These tweezers are flimsy. They will not hold their shape, causing me to constantly have to adjust them. I paid more, so I expected more. I recently decided to replace these tweezers with a pair that costs 1/3 the price. I received the replacement pair (from tian) and was immediately aware that I was paying for the name of the original tweezers. There is no comparison in quality between the sub standard tweezers and what I received from Tian. It made me go back and write a review 8 months later. I had thought I'd eventually buy scissors from this company. Nope. I'm not sure why these got high reviews. Maybe because people want to believe they have something special? Sucky... but special? Don't buy.

Tweezer works and blade works for smoothing however not quite heavy enough to act as a root cutter.

I owned many other bonsai tools, so I can say from experience that these tweezers are not quality! They could not grasp anything small - I might as well use my fingers! I might as well use my eyebrow tweezers. The purpose of bonsai tweezers is to pinch and remove what I can not reach with regular tweezers. This tool could not even grasp small things, much less at odd angles. I returned them immediately. The only good thing I can say is the return process was super easy, like all Prime products.
