WHAT WE DO
Wazakura Japan has been delivering since 2019 Japanese bonsai tools worldwide.
We were born not only wanting to make quality tools accessible worldwide, but aiming to keep Japanese crafts alive as well. That is why all of our tools are designed & manufactured in local Japanese workshops.
We want you to enjoy a little taste of Japan at home with tools 100% Made in Japan by skilled local artisans.

We believe in doing business successfully but also responsibly. A business should not only be accountable for its financial results, but also for what it provides to the community. Doing good is as important as doing well.
Wazakura Japan integrates the skills of Japanese artisans and blacksmiths with our design and marketing experience. This way we make these traditional crafts more accessible to the present day consumer.
But, most importantly, we contribute to keep these unique and traditional crafts working methods alive in modern times, helping the communities that dedicate their livelihood to them.
WHO WE WORK WITH
In Wazakura Japan we aspire to provide a better connection to Japanese artisans for a more meaningful buying. Our tools and accessories are only manufactured in Japan with all the quality and durability that the country has been known for always in mind.
For this vision to be a reality and ensure that our strict production standards are respected, we scouted around Japan for responsible skilled craftsmen that shared our same vision. And we did find them all around the country, in the cities of Sanjo (Niigata Prefecture) and Tokoname (Aichi Prefecture).
Instead of mass produce simple products, these artisans and blacksmiths use the same techniques passed down by generations. As a result, their tools are carefully designed and improved over-the-centuries with every single detail taken into account.
So you can have in your hands incredible and unique pieces that are much more than just tools.

Made in Japan : Real Japanese bonsai tools handforged by third generation of bonsai tools artisans in the city of Sanjo, in Niigata Prefecture. Sanjo is known since 17th century for the metalwork skills of their artisans and blacksmiths.

・Children must be supervised and instructed in the proper use of the tool when using them.
・Yasugi Specialty Steel is susceptible to rust, so occasional sharpening and proper maintenance is advised.
Japanese Yasugi Specialty Steel
Bonsai tools made of Yasugi Specialty Steel, a unique steel produced only in Japan. Yasuki steel is made in the Hitachi Metals plant in Shimane prefecture (Japan). It is created by combining iron and steel, removing impurities (phosphorus, sulfur, etc) that reduce sharpness, and forging and rolling the steel many times with hot processing. The characteristics Yasugi Steel tools are extra strong, wear-resistant and long-lasting sharp tools.
Japanese Bonsai Master Approved
Clean Cut, Heavy Duty Yasugi Scissors: With a sharp and sturdy edge, it severs flower fibers cleanly resulting in better water absorption and prolonged life. The open angle makes it good as well for cutting thick branches.
Butterfly Handle, Golden Engraving:
Large and looped handle, very close to the blade, that fits comfortably in your hand, allowing for a better control. With a beautiful golden engraving of our brand name in traditional Japanese kanji characters.
General Purpose, Beginner friendly:
Made of Yasugi steel blades, the scissors are ideal for general purpose (pruning and trimming, shoot and leaf cutting) and for beginners. It can easily cut a diameter of up to about 1/2 inches. Uses also include ikebana and general gardening work.

I love the product all the way around. The design is great for my ra, and carpal tunnel, super durable, very comfortable to hold, very sharp, and perform very well. The only thing I dislike is how quickly they oxidize, tarnish and rust ever so slightly with minimal use. I will have to figure out a manageable way to season them without ruining the Quality or Performance. I will try mineral oil and sand, and if it works out well. I will leave another review with a separate purchase, 🤞ðŸ»

Je l’utilise pour tailler mon bonsaï, il va super bien, coupure franche et nette, il se tient bien, on n’a pas l’impression qu’il va se briser pendant l’utilisation.
