I tried it and it does what is expected. I bought the super fine and standard one. Iâ€™m going to get the bold one later. I should have bought it first. I think the bold one would be more useful.

I used this for my wedding invitations with my Cricut Air 2. You use the scoring or drawing setting to foil the outline of a text or shape. Make sure you buy the right kind of foil! (decofoil wont work)However, if you have a Cricut, I don't think there is a way to create a FILLED text. I have seen videos where the Silhouette Cameo can create a filled foil, so if you're trying to foil large items, I would stick to the minc method.

I donâ€™t think the one I got heats up all the way. Iâ€™ve seen other people have beautiful results, but after an hour and a half, and an entire roll of foil I was still not getting the results I was hoping for. Uneven, and not a smooth line at all. Came with next to no instruction so at first I thought it was just me, but after consulting with someone who has one, Iâ€™m doing everything correctly. Bummer.

I used the fine point foil quill to create certain aspects of my wedding invitations and I've had mixed results. I always use this product with my Cricut, which voids the warranty but works a thousand times better than the foil product Cricut produced. There's a certain skill to using this, including allowing time for it to heat up (I always wait about 15 minutes) and taping the foil transfer sheet down taut. I use the We R Memory Keepers tape and had only occasional tearing, but I was also able to reuse the pieces of tape continuously when doing projects consecutively, thus saving tons of tape.I'm rating this 3 stars, however, because I've now had 3 of these and the quality continues to decline. After so many foiling projects, the tip becomes dull and no matter how well you tape down the sheet, heat up the quill, or adjust the pressure, it will tear the foil transfer sheet, destroying the project. My first quill came in the 3 pack with the medium and bold tip and lasted the longest by far. I had to buy 2 more to complete my wedding projects and the last quill lasted only about 50 projects before it became unusable.The results, when they work, are great and this is the best foil method if all you have is a Cricut and you wish to create fine designs, but you cannot create a filled text appearance and it is difficult to get good results every time - which wastes materials about 20% of the time even after you get used to how best to use the product.

So, I tried to transfer foil on a piece of veg tanned tooling leather and my tip immediately broke and while I didn't notice it right away, my cricut maker just kept going... when it finished, it turned out my broken tip became an excellent engraving tip, so now I'm making these little guys and experiment with leather dye LOL

Muy buen producto, calienta rÃ¡pido y deja un acabado muy lindo con foil, el precio me parece un poco alto, pero es de las pocas opciones en el mercado para aplicar foil sin necesitar de una impresora y enmicadora

Heat for about 10 minutes before use. Foil does not 100% transfer, you get some patches on the finished product. Does not work with normal foil, only heat transferable foils.
