Hood shield was perfect match to hood contour. Follow directions for ease of installation. Just know- once you set it in place and start removing the tape ends, double check positioning as it isn't going to move once you press it down. A question I'm seeking an answer to is how do you remove it if you want/need to? Anyway a quality shield.

I had already had some road debris pop up and hit the front of the hood on my 2022 Chevy Silverado, leaving a pretty nasty dent. When I saw this protector on another truck, I decided to give it a try. I am pleasantly surprised. It fit the contours of my hood perfectly, and luckily also covers up the pre-existing road debris damage. Covering it was much cheaper than fixing it at a body shop! I was slightly skeptical of the fact that it is held in place with adhesive tape, but it is extremely strong. I have taken it through the brushless car wash and taken it on a road trip at highway speeds, and not issues. Note, however, that the manufacturer suggests that you do not take it through an automatic car wash that uses brushes. I'm guessing it would not pop off, but I'm not testing that theory. As an added bonus, it looks great! It really adds a nice accent to the vehicle. Highly recommend.

Love the low profile products by weather tech. It was easy to install but better if you have someone else with you to make sure you align it correctly. Came with all of the pieces but I still had my own rubbing alcohol to prep the area first. Make sure to allow time to cure. I did have to use a rubber spatula to hide some of the adhesive strips that already come pre-glued. Overall I’m really satisfied and know that it will protect my truck from the rock chips.

Make sure you order the right one for your vehicle. The first one I ordered from Amazon was incorrect. Finally went to the Weathertech website and determined that there were many different applications for my vehicle. Second time I oprdered the right one. Fits perfectly and looks great.

I do like this item but I almost didn't put it on my truck because it tapes directly to the painted surface of the hood. I does look nice but I just have an issue with the mounting process.

I've had this item for 6 months. I followed installation instructions very strictly. Yesterday, I noted the end lifting while at highway speed. I slowed down to get home. Today, returning from hardware store with adhesive tape to repair the issue. On the way home, one end of the item lost adhesion, flew up and was taken away within 5 seconds. I was traveling at 50mph.When I returned home, I checked the still remaining end portion and it was very easy to remove. The center portion took some effort to remove.The installation process is NOT effective. Weather Tech customer service was no help beyond saying go buy some double sided tape.I loved the look of the item and the hood of my truck looks naked without it on there, but I won't purchase another one.

Kind 0f hard to get all the tape off but it fit nicely
