I used this scabbard for the first time today. Did a 9 mile trail ride and used the saw to cut out downed brush. I put a large caribeener clip on the back of the scabbard and clipped it to a D ring saver at the front of my English saddle. It rode there very nicely right in front of the knee rolls and did not scratch the leather saddle or interfere with mounting or dismounting. The saw slid in and out easily and there was no fear of losing it. I have not yet found a pair of clippers to fit the holder. I also have a similar leather scabbard which is more "classic" but for the price, this synthetic works just fine!

Everyday I hook the Weaver scabbard's D-ring onto my belt via a carabiner as it's absolutely indispensable for carrying a Felco 2 and an Ichiban Samurai 13" curved pruning saw. No leather (except for the Felco pouch) as the rubberized belting material is very tough, thriving on abuse! Beautifully made, a great design.
