This works just as expected. I use it to through Paracord line into trees to lift wire for portable ham radio operations. The heavy weight and smooth exterior allow the weight to easily pass through branches and return to the ground on the other side. I will continue to use this for SOTA/POTA operations.

I bought this for my boyfriend who does tree work, it was delievered right on time and it’s the perfect size. About the size of my palm. Seems durable, easy to use and worth the money. He’s happy with it so it should be good

It's good quality and is the specified weight. After watching a few web videos and a few practice shots, got a line over a branch I wanted to cut.

Works great for throwing my align into the trees to raise my antenna for my amateur radio station.

I thought “how complicated can this be?†considering the price but after using this a few times I really don’t feel bad about this purchase at all. It’s gotten some rude abuse getting thrown up/over/thru tree limbs and across the ground, plummeted into nasty pond water, etc. and this thing has been a champ. I thought any number of times “that things gotta be busted apart at a seam after that mess†but it continues to hang tough. I’m more than a little surprised at this point. Seems extremely well made & it really does seem to do an exemplary job in carrying line up/over/through the trees. The 12 oz weight has been plenty for me, I don’t believe bigger would be better in this case ... just pretend you’re throwing a full can of Coke/beer where you want this to go.

Weaver makes good stuff. I've used their throw bags in the past and that's why I ordered this one. Great quality.

Well built. Stiches are strong. Perfect weight. They are quite robust as it takes about 10 times to get it where you want to go for very high branches and they crash down to the ground each time. It has helped me dozens of times for two things : to get a string in place to pull in a strong rope for pulling on the tree while cutting to add a layer of safety AND for getting a hand chainsaw in place to cut high branches.

I use these throw bags to hoist my dipole antennas as high as possible into trees when operating remote or POTA. I prefer the 8 Oz or 12 Oz bags. But with the lighter bags, be sure to use a good low friction cord or paracord so as not to get stuck in the trees.

poids idéal pour monter mes antennes filières dans les arbres avec une "Paracord 550" de 30m/100’ (et cette â€Paracord" de couleur "Gecko" lui va parfaitement)..

The build quality on this feels great, its just the right amount of weight and made hanging a bear barrel much faster.
