WeBoost is the name brand everyone knows when it comes to cell phone boosters because the quality is there. This works amazingly well to boost a weak cell signal to something stronger. In my experience it works best with a weak LTE (4G) signal.

> weBoost Drive Reach RV II- Cell Phone Signal Booster kit (~$470)The Good:+ Does work. Basically adds a big antenna to the cell tower, while your phone connects to that big antenna.+ Reduces phone battery drain+ Good app, but not necessary to installThe Bad:- Needs to be mounted on flat metal surface for best results- Internal needs to be located away from the big antenna, which may cause interference issues if it's too close. This helps in any area distant from a cell tower, but it still must be in range of the tower. If your phone has a sketchy 1 bar with regular dropped calls, this will help a lot.You must make sure it supports the channel your phone works on, which is 12/17, 13, 5, 4, 25/2 according to documentation. You can see the band your iphone uses by dialing *3001#12345# and connecting. It will show your band. Not sure how to do it on android, but I believe there's an info screen in the settings app.

I'm so disappointed. I've heard from other people that this product works well, but it does not work at all for me. Apparently, I don't have enough "vertical separation" from the outside and inside antennae. My RV is 11 feet high. I've moved the inside antenna to every possible place inside my RV, to no avail. Only when I place it outside, on the ground, do I get the continual green light on the battery box. But, even then, I don't get any change in bars on my cell phone. It's not the location where I'm parked, it's the equipment. I've called a few times to troubleshoot and it seems like this is as good as it gets. I have a very expensive roof decoration on my RV. I really don't want to get Starlink, are there any other reliable internet-on-the-go options for a full-time RV'er?

First off, the packaging was very nice with a separate molded compartment for each piece. It arrived in perfect shape and told me that nothing was likely to be damaged. Uncharacteristically I opened the instructions first and was pleased to find that they are written in clear American with no pseudo translation required as is so often the case with electronics. So, I decided to break with tradition and read the directions, finding each part mentioned in its own compartment and sealed bag. Nice! I was impressed that the directions mentioned things to do and what are undoubtedly common mistakes throughout, and that they explain why each mistake is a mistake like putting antennas too close together for example. First up was the exterior antenna assembly. The machining, anodizing and finishes were very clean and exact. It threaded together perfectly, and they even include a little tube of thread locker to keep it from going airborne on the highway. The antenna cables even have that nice quality feel where they are flexible but still slick for pulling through holes, and they straighten out when you want them to rather than forever coiling up and being a pain to run. There are even a couple pieces of heat shrink tubing included to seal the antenna connections even better. The cable entry gland is a quality piece, perfectly molded and threaded with no hint of brittleness. They include an AC plug-in power supply, a hardwire cable, an inline molded fuse holder, and an insulated butt connector. They really did think of everything it seems. So I got it all assembled for a test in my metal shop building. I used Ookla’s speed test with an iPhone to see results. I only have LTE around here so I can’t speak to 5G performance. I put the outside antenna on the roof and ran the wire down into the building. When I powered it up, I noticed that I bumped up a bar or two on the phone. I was surprised to not have full bars right at the antenna but proceeded with a test. Unsurprisingly, my speed test with the unit powered off was horrific. I got 1.82 up and just enough upload blips to not fail, but the reading was 0.00. So being reassured that my service in the building still sucks, I powered the unit on. No buttons or configuration required. They include troubleshooting tips in the manual that looked helpful, but I was green to go. Even with the sub-par temporary antenna location, my speed inside went to 5.06 down and 1.02 up. That sounds terrible and really it is, but for inside a metal shop in Hillbillyville NC, that’s transformative. I could place and receive calls clearly which I can never do inside. My intent is to use this for the camper as I already have Wi-Fi calling set up in the shop, but it gives me the confidence to go ahead and install it in the camper knowing that it works effectively. It’s a spendy solution but if you don’t go in the middle of nowhere to get away from cell service, it should be a game changer!

I really am clueless when it comes to cell signals and boosters, and how they work. I actually had my brother-in-law install it for me and while he said it was easy I probably never would've gotten it done.It comes in a really nice case and includes everything that's needed. The parts all look like they're durable and made well; the whole thing is just really good quality. The case is great for packing it up for your next spot however I'm stationary.I used to get 3 and 4 bars and now I get 4 or 5. I don't have wifi so I use my mobile Hotspot which used to sometimes make everything slow down drastically but I really don't notice it as much as I used to.Overall I'm happy with the results and I think it works pretty good.

This signal booster works surprisingly well, I live in a rural aera and don't get good service (usually 3 bars on average) and I have a 5g router for our internet that works off of the cell service because we cant get regular cable service, and it works okay for the most part but is really slow and spotty. But now after installing this signal booster we now get a constant 5 bars even in bad weather, also it more than double our down and upload speeds while lowering our ping! I installed this 2 months ago and haven't had any issues at all. Highly recommend!

This booster comes in handy in certain places. As long as there is a signal to boost. If there is no signal to boost, it isn’t going to help. That said, there are areas where it helps and areas where it just doesn’t.Overall, it is nice to have when you are out in the boondocks. It can make a difference.I like it and am happy to have it.
