The weed wacker strings are made of a newly upgraded nylon polyamide material, which is a material that is durable and resistant to high temperatures.

I've tried other trimmer lines that have edges that are supposed to cut better, but they don't. I finally went with this smooth line and it cuts better than any of those "gator" lines. It's also lighter so my cordless trimmer (B&D 20Vmax) line seems to have more speed and I can finish trimming my yard in 45 minutes instead of an hour. The areas that I had to use the #2 speed setting I can now get done with just the #1 regular speed. There's just a couple spots that still need to use the #2 speed. I'm able to do all the bushes/trees in the yard, the fence, trim sidewalks, driveway and along the street on a single 4Ah battery with juice to spare. I live in Florida and this time of year I'm cutting the grass twice a week. After 5 uses, the current spool still has plenty of line for at least 2 more times. With the "gator" lines, I'd be lucky to get 2 times out of 1 rewinding and be using the #2 speed option for 1/2 the job and also need a 2Ah battery to finish.

Before I bought it , and using Amazon reviews as a decision maker, noticed some people winning about the durability of this trimmer line and made me think twice but, took the chance. Believe me, the cost x benefit is darn good and the line breaks as any other I had before. Now, not sure for commercial usage how would perform but around your yard it is fine.I would only wish I had the line inside some sort of dispenser and not just a roll.(probably possible but not for the same price) You spend way more time managing to not get the whole thing entangled everytime you need some to load the trimmer

I tried the star shaped weedeater line. It kept clogging up. This is smooth and works very well.
