These lead jig heads are good quality with thick sharp wide gap hooks. The jig heads are designed so that they can be pulled through thick cover much more easily than the normal ball head style. The wide gap hooks are tilted downwards a bit towards the head for snag-free fishing when punching your bait through heavy cover. I do not have any other jigs that are designed like these so I am looking forward to seeing how effecient this overall design functions especially around thick underwater weeds and brush. The size of the hook on these 1/4oz jigs I ordered appears to be about a 3/0 which is perfect for use with soft plastic baits. Due to the downward curve of the hooks though you will want to use a soft plastic bait that has the hook slit in them, otherwise the hook might get buried too far into the bait. Based upon the quality, design and low price of these jig heads I recommend them to other anglers.

Love these hooks with the weight attached. It takes some of the hassle out of tying on a rig, especially a Texas Rig.

Decided to get the variety pack so I could have different sizes and weights to use based on the ponds I am fishing near my house. I like the variety pack because it has a good assortment of different size hooks and weights depending on how I want to fish or what soft plastics I would like to use.The case they come in is nice to keep them secure. These are a great option for the soft plastic craw and creature baits I like to use as well as with paddle tail swim baits.

Can’t wait to give these a try. The pointed lead head which is solidly attached to the hook should aid in punching thru Lilly pads or grass mats. Hook is razor sharp and in the classic form of a worm hook. By shape and design can be rigged Texas weedless style or with a plastic bait in a trailer style. Either way there’s two things I’m sure of, I will be needing more of these…and I better get busy ordering them.

My son is old enough now that we've moved beyond worms & bobbers, and he want to try other types of fishing. I got these hooks and some soft plastics to experiment with making our own rigs. Seems like just what we needed and sturdy. No complaints.

The space between the weight and where the "head" of your lure goes is wayyyy too small. If your lure isn't particularly durable or just soft you'll rip through the top of it after a couple of casts. I've had a swimbait on a different bullet head hook for about a week of fishing with no problem, but with these it barely lasts due to that limited space. Disappointing, but I should've looked at the images so that's on me.
