SLA batteries have a low self-discharge rate - about 40% per year or 3.3% per month. These batteries are able to be stored without charging for up to 5-6 months when at full capacity, but doing so is not recommended. At least every 2-3 months you should top charge them. In order to prolong their shelf life, SLA batteries should be stored and maintained properly.

Best Practices

  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place (optimally 75 degrees Fahrenheit / 23 degrees Celsius or less)
  • Periodical top charging of the batteries is recommended
  • Store batteries in a fully charged state

Our batteries can be used in various types of:

  • Access Control Systems
  • Home Alarm Systems
  • Burglar Alarm Systems
  • Security Systems
  • Electric scooters and bikes
  • Electric wheelchairs
  • Ride-on Toys
  • Golf Carts

Connecting batteries:

NOTE: The maximum number that can be connected in parallel is 4. In series, there are no limitations.

IN SERIES

By connecting the batteries in series you are doubling the voltage and maintaining the same capacity (amp hours). Connect the positive terminal of the first battery to the negative terminal of the second one. From the two free terminals connect the positive to the power lead on your devise, and the negative to the ground connection of your application.

PARALLEL

By connecting the batteries in parallel you are doubling the capacity (amp hours) and maintaining the same voltage. Connect the positive terminal of the second battery to the positive terminal of the first battery. Do the same with the negative terminals. Connect your application to the positive and negative terminals of the first battery.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU BUY

In order to find the best replacement for your original battery you need to compare the physical dimensions, Volts and Amp power of your original model to our battery.Besides physical dimensions you also need to check battery terminals , which are the metal connectors on top of the battery. To determine what terminal your battery has, you will need to look at their form and determine if they have a flat connector, nut and bolt or wires, and then measure their sizes.

  • The maximum 1100A discharge (5 seconds) is suitable for appliances that require a high startup current, like a fridge.
  • With a consistent and stable discharge, the battery can power up most common home appliances, such as a microwave, CPAP, coffee maker, laptop, and more.

Replacement backup sump battery, only recently installed but it works. When I originally installed the backup sump our Wayne WSS30VN recommended a 75Ah, and we purchased a Mighty Max. This battery lasted about 4-1/4 years, not great but beyond their warranty. This time around I decided to get this 12v 100Ah (this item) for a bit longer run time in the event that it's needed. It fits just fine in the supplied Wayne battery box, and the system is once again operational. I like the webbing handle, it's available any time and you don't need to fold plastic handles (Mighty Max) that are only available when the leads are not attached. Sure, it's heavy, but it's a lead acid battery....

Funny story included in the review. 😉First, until a year of use has happened, can’t give better than 3 star ratings for longevity and value. As for the 1 star rating for packaging, time for the funny story! When the batteries first arrived in rather BADLY DAMAGED packaging (surprised to find the battery otherwise in good condition), carrying it was...a good workout! But when I carried the other battery (in much better packaging), I was shocked to find how much LIGHTER it was than the first battery. I thought, “No way! Could it be possible that...” and YEP: sure was...a LiFePO4 battery sent apparently by mistake! My jaw DROPPED! This battery of the same capacity as the LFP12100 100AH AGM battery was easily half the weight! I so badly wanted to keep it 😄😄! So many nice electrical characteristics of LiFePO4 batteries (but at THREE TIMES the price). Alas, you can’t really run a deep cycle LEAD battery in parallel with a LITHIUM battery as they won’t work together: the lithium battery ends up doing all the work first. So, with a heavy heart, I had to do the right thing and send that lithium battery back. Boo hoo hoo. 😫😄 A week later, the other, CORRECT AGM battery came in (this time in much better packaging). The first battery which came in that beat-up packaging tested at 12.03V, which was at best only 25% charged. The other battery was at 12.56V, which was more like 75% charged. I have to wonder how old the first battery is to have such a low state of charge. Not wanting to hook up the batteries in parallel with such unequal charges, I used a Stanley 15A battery charger, which shows state of charge, battery voltage, and automatically switches to float charge when the battery is about 100% charged. I wanted both batteries to be at the same state of charge before final installation into my system, so they got charged that way individually. Now I’ve read some reviews how the LFP12100 AGM 100AH batteries are “only 50AH”. But my math suggests that, as the first battery of at best 25% charged drew 15 amps for over FIVE HOURS before tapering off toward float charge mode, it accumulated at least 75AH of charge. So I’m pretty sure these really ARE 100AH batteries! In closing, I have to admit that if TWO of the far more expensive LiFePO4 batteries were sent by mistake, I would have had a real crisis of conscience over whether to just keep them anyway. But really: how long could a business profitably run if every time someone ordered a $165 battery, a $549 battery was delivered instead? “My math suggests” that the profit margins wouldn’t stay positive for very long! 😆😆😆

The batteries are of great quality and very affordable. I had bought 3 of them to chain to my solar generator. They worked awesome! I had so much more capacity on my generator. However, after a while (about a year), they were not holding 100% of the charge. I contacted the tech support of the solar generator company and they thought that the batteries (one or more) could have lost some efficiency. So, I contacted Weize about this issue and asked if they would be able to help. I also asked them about the warranty. The customer service was so outstanding. They got back to me right away even though it was a Saturday. They asked me questions about the problem, gave me suggestions to hopefully resolve the issue. I wasn’t expecting a refund or a replacement. I was just happy that their assistance was so prompt, professional and kind. But, eventually, they gave me an option of a refund or replacement. I chose a replacement because the batteries are great, no matter what. Sometimes, issues come up with any product or it can be a combination of different things (thus, the warranties). They set up the replacements promptly. I’m so looking forward to using these batteries again. I am so happy with the batteries, the warranty and the customer service!
