Got these for some copper pipe jobs around the house. Get them wet and then put over a pipe. I used two and the first one was pretty well spent. These are disposable not last forever. I would buy another set for the next jobs.

I did not like this product and it rips very easily, not a heavy duty and also catches on fire slightly

Good for going between joists but I would like one a bit larger with some overlap. This fits between joists and flooring standing flat with no overlap on the wood leaving it exposed to side flame and solder spatter. Putting in new pipes you should not have much but when removing old fittings you will always have spatter. I will be adding a larger as this does not protect anything around the sides that was my purpose for using a shield in the first place

Stopped the heat but thinner then a different one I have.There is a snap to keep the slit closed on this but pulling apart, the snapped pulled right out of the fabric.

It’s a cool looking product but it failed to protect its surroundings. The material seems flammable that it’s not resisting the heat very well.
