As a person who welds, I was curious about this handheld and had to try it. Definitely can’t handle 1/8†but the 3/32 it welds surprisingly great everyone here loves the portability

Thin material is to easy to burn through, but thicker material works great.

My patio furniture is coming apart and needed some welds so I got this to try to fix it. I watched a bunch of youtube videos on how it works. I also looked at getting someone to do the welds for me and this route is a cheaper route. Plus if they break in the future I can fix them again. I was able to repair weld the furniture with this thing. Now granted the face shield was not that great and its almost impossible to use. You almost need the glasses or welding hood. I ended up just closing my eyes on a few on them. Once you get it to start it goes pretty good. I'm not a welder. If you watch the youtube videos you can see real welders using it and giving pointers. Thats what I did and it worked. Happy with the purchase!! I would buy again!!

Works wonderfully for light jobs. Repaired a chicken house door and some quick work on a hay ring.

My husband saw a youtube of a man using this welder. He asked me to go online and find him one like it. I wondered why on earth (at age 85) he would want a welder....but I did as he asked. Am I glad I did! He is spending his "need something to do" time in the garage making trellises, etc., for my Spring-Fall Garden. It is so compact and handy. He really enjoys using it....and I enjoy him doing so! Remember the old saying..."You don't stop gardening because you grow old. You grow old because you stop gardening!" This small welder fits his need perfectly.

it welds but after one minute it will kick off and you have to wait till it cools down and it will reset and kick back on. Not worth the trouble. either this unit has a problem or they are all junk.
