If you don't already have a shop vac, get one. Also, figure out what type of grits you need and buy extra packs of them ahead of time. Depending on the job, you may ending up going through a lot of discs. This product does exactly what it's designed for, and as for the folks saying speed and electric shocks are an issue, that is user error. Don't use the bag, use a vac and no shocks will be had. USE THE RIGHT GRIT and let the tool do the work. As it specifies in the instructions, DON'T apply extra pressure. Slow, even passes gets the job done. As for most drywall applications I cant imagine needing to go higher than the minimum speed or the "1" speed. I am very happy with the tool, beats hand sanding any day and is way faster than small finishing or orbital sanders with much less dust. And at $80, the price is on point too. See the attached photos for my basic setup, as well as the photo showing what happens to discs as the left disc is white but debris free and the right disc is striped and clotted with paint. If you're sanding a repair patch that has paint or half finished walls (eg. Paneling half drywall renovating) the discs will clot with paint and you'll go through them quickly. Don't throw them out, remove them and let them cool. The paint will become brittle and can be cracked or chipped off later to use the disc again. This product has worked excellent and I couldn't be more happy with the value. I'd reccomend to anyone.

I’ve only used this on one job. The vacuum bag it come with works good but there is dust. I attached it to my shop vac, double filter. Almost dust free. Be carful when you pull the sander away from the wall that’s when you get the majority of the dust. The sander does a great job. No more hand sanding except in the corners. The sander payed for itself on the first job. I’m ordering a second one so we can have 2 working at the same time. I would definitely recommend this.I’ve use this on a few jobs now. My only complaint is that there is a static charge build up when using it and a spark and shock.

This is a nice sander with plenty of power to do more than just drywall. For drywall I do keep it at the lowest speed setting as it will remove a lot of material quickly.I'm happy with my selection, but it does get heavy when working overhead sanding the ceiling after a short time. One with a pole might be nice for that purpose, but I haven't tried one to compare. It does great for walls.Although it does not collect all the dust that it creates, it does pull enough away from the sander that I don't have a need to wear a respirator (yeah, I know I should). I guess I should try hooking it up to a shop vac with the provided adapters, but I haven't at this time. The bag is a bit awkward to strap over your shoulder when sanding, but I found that by keeping the bag on the ground as I sand, that gravity assists with the dust collection and it is way more clean than having the bag up at shoulder height.

It’s a good product! Would this be for a contractor to use every day on the job? Doubtful. I think this tool is more for the busy DIY homeowner. That’s me!Used it for my basement and kitchen/dining walls and so far, this is the investment that keeps on giving!!! I started sanding down in my basement with hand sanders. Time consuming! Got this baby, finished my basement and then went up and did the sand, patch/repair, and re-sand for my entire kitchen/dining area in 4 hours!! The longest part was waiting for the mud to dry...seriously. The walls were really bad (numerous drip marks, showing joints, nicks/dings, and just overall really bad previous paint job). The walls are so smooth now and I can’t wait to paint! Obviously not good for edges/corners, which were also very bad. I have a different sander for that.Really glad I decided to just “buy it and figure out how to use it”. It’s very easy. I had never used a power sander before and was worried about doing more harm than good. There was nothing to worry about. Just keep your hands all the way on the handle/ grip when you’re using it. I have a habit of holding up my pinky away from the rest of my hand when I grab things and I felt the electric shock a few times that others spoke about. Either that or do what one guy said and just get some rubber gloves. I’m an electrician so the little shock didn’t scare me at all, but I still grabbed some gloves just to make sure I wasn’t distracted while sanding.

No tiene mucha fuerza y a la bolsa se le escapa polvo no mucho pero es algo a considerar además te da toques de electricidad

WHEN USING THE SANDER I AM GETTING SHOCKED FROM WHERE THE HOSE MEETS THE SANDER, ALMOST LIKE STATIC ELECTRICITY SHOCK. I JUST HOPE I DON'T GET A GOOD ZAP FROM THIS THING THAT HURTS ME.SAVE YOUR MONEY OR SPEND MORE MONEY AND BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND.

......if you do home wall board projects! I've been a home DIY'er since 1980, struggling with mud and dust. No more! This sander eliminates 99% of that nasty dust and leaves a finish as smooth as a baby's.............forehead. Lightweight and sooooo easy to use. Are there spots that need hand sanding? Of course. You can't fit a round peg into a square hole. But what remains by hand is nothing compared to the overall advantage of this orbital sander. I did feel a few tiny shocks from the handle, but holding the sander at the hose connection solves that minor issue, and allows you to maintain control. You will soon learn where to apply pressure and where to let it "float" to achieve the desired result. I've always gone heavy with the mud so I could apply and sand once. This sander will encourage multiple thin layers of mud to get better overall results. Looking forward to my next demo/reno project!

I should have bought years ago. You will catch on quickly how to use….for instance, don’t flip over unless you have a garbage can near by. The tool will collect dust if you are working overhead and will drop everywhere if not careful. But if you extract this build up into a garbage can or vacuum it out of the unit. It is true this machine will create no mess on it’s own

This machine was halfway decent, but it's a bit in the heavy side. I've stopped using the sander though due to continuous shocks I get from it. I believe money would have been better spent going towards a higher quality machine.

Works good but maybe it should be built with a grounded wire.
