If you are considered a handy person you generally have more than a couple of assorted nuts and bolts. And as global manufacturing increases, so does the need to have metric fasteners around for repair and replacement. The last time I had to go to the store it was to replace a nut on the handle of a weed wacker that vibrated loose. I wanted to find lock nuts like this, and stainless as well, but no-go at my local store - I was lucky to get any kind of nut that would fit the screw I thankfully did not lose.This is a great set. I was able to verify the threading of all but the 3mm, as I don't have any 3mm screws. The nylon inserts for all the sizes engaged perfectly with the screw as it threaded on with just the right amount of extra force required. The case arrived unbroken and the nuts were still separated by size - rare in my experiences.

Definitely composed of Stainless Steel, and probably Type 304 as it is slightly magnetic. Finish is nicely polished with no rough edges.Testing these nuts (WITHOUT a nylon insert) with different brands of metric screws, all of these nuts appear to have a fairly sloppy "fit", i.e. a bit too large inner diameter and therefore I would not use them on anything fairly critical that requires substantial tightening force as the thread mass may not be up to spec. I have no means of verifying the actual inner diameter or thread "weight" and therefore cannot deduct any stars for these observations. However, I do advise being careful!The case was badly cracked and probably will not hold up for very long (see pic), hence the 1-Star deduction. While no deduction for this, but the package sticker was too big for the plastic box and covered the side. This maybe nice for keeping the case from opening during shipping, but a PITA for maintaining the package for occasional use.Markings: M6, M8, M10 all are stamped with "A2 70 JT". Note: this definitely des not indicate "A2" tool steel which would be highly magnetic, and is never used for threaded nuts.The assortment and quantity for each size is useful and covers all of my foreseeable needs.

Having a box of assorted sizes of nyloc nuts is handy as demonstrated lately when the nut holding on the fan of a wind spinner was lost. The 10mm nut in this kit fit sungly and has held the fan in place now for several weeks through some pretty brutal weather. That it is 304 stainless steel makes it weather resistant.The nuts come in a small plastic box with permanent dividers. There are stepped sizes from M3 to M10 making this useful in many different projects. The nuts are smooth with the nylon insert firmly embedded inside the nut.This is a great set of nuts at a great price!

Decent looking nuts though they have rough edges on the hex part. They threaded easily onto the appropriate size bolt BUT there is no self-locking feature. They just spin freely. I saw there were two different parts in the listing but both said self locking. I expect one to be the normal nylon lock type and the second one I expected a clinching type nut where the threads or the nut was deformed to cause the lock feature. These had neither and are not self locking. Threads are loose and probably a Class 1B clearance fit with lower strength. There are NO SAE, ASTM or any other standard grade markings on the nuts so there is no telling their strength. The larger ones are stamped 304. They will work fine for around the house and boat dock but I would not use them for any critical applications where they are under stress and the structural integrity is dependent on these fasteners.

This is nuts! literally. Good quality and comes in a nice little organizing case. Great to have when you need a nut.

This review is for ASIN# B0DHP6BYXD. The listing says "Self-Lock Nylon" but the picture in the listing is of plain nuts, not self locking, which is what I wanted and what I received. Thread counts are not stated, so here is what I got:#6-32#8-32#10-241/4-205/16-183/8-16Very high quality nuts made of 304 Stainless Steel so won't rust. Threads are smooth and accurate. Comes in a nice polypropylene case with firm snap closure and fixed partitions.
