Works well but 1 out of the 3 was a bad cell. Never returned, too much trouble to have installed. Used with flickering bulbs and they work well.

The adapter works indoors as it should but absolutely does not function outdoors. With the switch on and the adapter installed, even in full sunlight, the bulb still turns on. LED bulbs either stay on in direct sunlight and flicker endlessly. Garbage

Screw these in each bulb socket, use regular bulbs and they will light at dusk and stay lit until dawn. Super easy installation. No special bulbs. Cheaper than Home Depot!

I used these with LED bulbs in an outdoor fixture. They work but seem to get very hot, along with the bulbs. This means they need to be changed often. I found dusk-to-dawn bulbs to be a lot better and brighter! (Too bright?)

I was happy to find an " outdoor" bulb sensor. One problem. For some reason it reduces electric output when it turns on. That's great for an incandescent bulb, but an LED or CFL bulb will not work under a reduced output. Right in the garbage they went.

These light controls were replacements for an over 10-year old set of sensors that had a failed sensor. The dark color of these sensors are a better match for our lamppost light than the old white ones. While the packaging says "For use with incandescent bulbs only", I replaced my incandescent bulbs with dimmable LED bulbs along with the installation of the new sensors. Bulbs and sensors work just fine. Dimmable LED's should handle the variable voltage of the sensors. Remember that sensors should face North and away from any direct light source - including the other lights in your fixture.

Very useful especially for the photo cell, it can be adjusted with the spring prong allows for 3/4 turn seeking the light source.

I placed these sockets on my lamppost but my “3†incandescent light bulbs never turned on.Maybe these dusk to dawn sockets are not meant to be used together on the same lamppost because the bulbs interfere with each other.
