We purchased this hat for our 2.5 year old son. We did remove the star strap because he tried putting it around his neck (it's not glued down or anything). I may eventually hot glue it on but I actually appreciate the ability to remove it. It looks and feels quality - not like a costume hat.

Very good quality, but i think this it's better for a 3-4, MAYBE early 5yr old. Just seems a bit small but since it's a Christmas gift, I really can't tell until Christmas. It is cute thoðŸ˜

This hat fit my 2 year old perfectly. The hat is sturdy but the buckle just rests on the hat. It is not sewn onto the hat. It fell off immediately after opened from the package. I threw out the buckle strap because of the hazard of my toddler trying to wear it like a necklace. Even without this piece I though the hat is firm and my toddler still loves it
