Mostly this is being used for work and to replace my ASUS portable DisplayLink monitor. Not sure if it's ASUS's panel or limitations of the DisplayLink technology, but the ASUS had really bad colors and laggy response time. For work purposes, the response time was getting annoying.Unpacking this WGK monitor, I'm pleasantly surprised it had a variety of cables included. USB-C to USB-C Thunderbolt / DisplayPort is what I will be using the most, but it also has a full HDMI to mini-HDMI cable for laptops that don't have DP/TB. Those two connectors should have most recently built laptops covered. Kickstand worked quite well and adjusts to multiple angles, which is another convenience the ASUS didn't have. Bringing this to my office daily and connecting it to my M2 Macbook Pro, it was super easy to set up and felt much more responsive on day one. It's light and doesn't add any noticeable weight to my backpack.Screen is advertised at 250 nits, so for indoors use it's perfectly adequate. Colors are not going to be MBP level or OLED level good, but they're fine for office tasks, web browsing and streaming YouTube. The screen itself is competitive with the built-in displays of most consumer grade laptops and even some high end HP Elitebooks I've used in the past. But, being a budget panel, you probably don't want to use it if you're doing color sensitive work, like if you're a professional photographer or videographer where you need high color accuracy. For kicks, I also connected it to my Dell Latitude running Win 10 at home and my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to see if DeX works and they both did. In all these cases, I didn't need external power for the monitor. DeX's color output seem more de-saturated than both my laptops so I'm guessing it's some issue with DeX or some setting I didn't configure correctly. However that's not my main use for this monitor.Overall this monitor is great for productivity, light weight, easy to carry and has display connections that are compatible with modern Mac and Windows laptops and even some phones. One thing to note is that the connectors are all on the right side of the panel so this is a consideration for deciding on the positioning of your monitor to the left or right of your laptop.

For work, gaming, and vacation, the WGK 15.6-inch Portable Monitor is an excellent partner. Its 1080P Full HD IPS screen offers wide viewing angles, vivid colors, and crisp images. Its dual Type-C and HDMI connections guarantee smooth plug-and-play compatibility across a variety of devices, including laptops, game consoles, and smartphones, and its lightweight design with an integrated kickstand makes it simple to carry and adjust. However, audiophiles might not be satisfied with the minimal built-in speakers.Advantages:Outstanding Full HD quality with support for HDRSlim, light design with an integrated kickstandPlug-and-play and compatible with a variety of devicesSeveral display modes for entertainment and productivityCons:Simple integrated speakersInsufficient brightness for outdoor use

I’ve been using the WGK Portable Monitor for a couple of weeks now, and it’s been amazing. The 15.6-inch screen is super clear and bright, and it’s the perfect size for traveling. The slim design makes it easy to slip into my bag, and the built-in kickstand is sturdy and convenient no extra accessories needed.Setup was super simple. It worked right away with my laptop and Nintendo Switch using the USB-C connection, and the HDMI option is handy too. The zero-bezel design makes it look really modern and clean, which I love.If you’re looking for something portable, easy to use, and great for work or gaming, I highly recommend this monitor. It’s been worth every penny!

Been running a dual monitor setup in the office for at least 10+ years, and have been looking at portable monitor for a long time now for when I’m out and about. Previously portable monitor were on the expensive side in the early adaptations, low-n-behold the WKG Portable 15.6 inch monitor.PROS:A single USB 3.1 Type C for power/audio/videoEasy to hookupVery clear screen, great colors and it’s easy on the eyes!!Great price pointVery light weight!Built-in monitor standGreat for traveling!CON:No built in cover over the screen for travel.Overall would highly recommend this monitor to anyone that needs a travel dual display set up or just an in-home mobile monitor. And for the price, it’s just a great deal. Let’s get real with any travel/mobile monitor; it WILL break at some point due to an accident (excessive handling, being dropping multiple times, and even being stepped on). For the price, it doesn’t hurt much to replace it.
