First Use & Extended Care
- Prior to first use, glass pieces should be hand washed individually in warm soapy water, rinsed thoroughly and dried with a lint free cloth.
- For optimal finish & clarity, clean with a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water, let stand for a few hours then rinse well and dry with a lint free cloth.
- Our glass is produced overseas in extremely large quantities for our wholesale customers, due to transit and mass storage, all vases should be cleaned before use to remove any accumulated dust/dirt.
- Change liquid contents of glass containers frequently. This will help preserve the products finish and avoid film build-up.
- Glass pieces should not be cleaned in a dish washer.
- Do not use products in microwaves or conventional ovens.

I bought this to make a candle holder for my wife. She likes the "bowl candles" behind Sandra Bullock in the movie "The Lake House" when she seemingly gets stood up at the restaurant. This bowl looks very much like those in the movie.The glass is plenty thick, so there's not much chance of breakage if you're reasonably careful with it. I'm just saying it's not a delicate bowl. There are artifacts in the glass - little bubbles here and there - which I wish weren't there but my wife says it gives the bowl character. Also, if you sit at just the right angle, usually eye level, and look through the bowl, it appears slightly milky. It's not bad, but just something to be aware of. As a planter, or a goldfish bowl, it would be a non-issue, but this one has a candle inside it.

Round vases are pretty and great for any/all floral arrangements. The round bowl-style vase is classic...iconic, even.The trouble with this particular vase (WGV Bowl Glass Vase -10" diameter) is that I don't believe it would ever withstand typical use. It is quite fragile (thin glass) and the inner edge is actual SHARP and JAGGED glass.I drew blood over this vase! While arranging the eucalyptus for a birthday floral arrangement, I cut three fingers when running them against the inner edge of the opening. I'm surprised that the manufacturer didn't sand down the inner edges of these vases.I suppose I could have grabbed a sheet of sandpaper and attempted to soften that extremely sharp edge, myself but why should I?The price was lower than many similar round vases but the (lower) quality (and dangerous searing edge) aren't worth it.

Saw a similar product at one of the big chain stores after I ordered. The thickness of this glass and overall quality is much better than the chain store’s. The price was less than $1.00 more for these. I’m very pleased.
