My original broke down, and though I ordered the same product number, this one came (same in looks but with a different product number). Must be an upgrade after all these years. Works well and is much much quieter than the old one.

Great replacement for my old whirlpool disposal. easy install, took me only 30 minutes total to remove the old drain, drain collar and disposal and replace with the new supplied parts. great value, very low decibels and purrs like a kitten.

This replaced the one that was leaking after 12 years of use, and it works great. The HP is a little higher in this version than my old one, but more power is fine by me. It has been holding up well for several months now with no issues.

When our 10-year old garbage disposal broke down for a 4th time, we decided it was not worth it to call someone to the house or to try to fix it. We looked to just replace the whole unit and my husband researched and settled on this Whirlpool model. It arrived within 3-4 days of ordering and he decided to install it himself.Note: He is not the most handy person and generally we call on to my Dad for the extra help with such things but he is an engineer and can follow directions and according to him, it was easy and logical to install. He did on his own without any problems. It took about an hour.And it works GREAT! I've been skittish about putting the same old stuff I would put down the other one like vegetables or tea leaves, but I am using it and it's given us no problem.Big bonus: It is SOOOO quiet! I love it. You can run it while people are in the kitchen and they may not hear it if they are in conversation. I had not realized how loud my other disposal was until we got this one. We have checked for any sign of leaks or problems around the unit and none so far after using it for 3 weeks.So while I am not putting the disposal through its paces and checking how much it can actually shred and consume, I would say that I'm very happy with it and recommend it.

I bought this to replace a 15-year-old whirlpool disposal that began to rust and leak. This went in very easily and used the same mounting hardware as the old disposal. I re-used the mounting hardware and the installation took me about 20 minutes. The new disposal is very quiet and works fine.
