While I love the concept of the adjustable angle for the flag pole, this is NOT solid stainless steel. Only the pole itself is. But the most important part of the assembly in terms of strength and durability--the base that attaches to the house and bears the weight and stress--is made of a fragile resin composite or some polymer that MAY contain some metal material. The reason I purchased this model is because the product description stated "stainless steel" construction. But the first decent wind we got snapped this flag pole assembly right at the base of the pole. Had it only a couple of weeks or so.It seems that there is only one reason to construct a flag pole assembly--which is exposed to the elements--out of a relatively fragile polymer/resin material: so that it breaks and needs to be replaced. The only problem is that we got decent winds early in its lifespan and it snapped well before the return window ended. Just my personal vent, here.

Positive: Looks good. Sturdy construction.Negative: Had to buy screws to attach this to concrete block house. Top weight bearing ring on pole to stop flag from wrapping around the pole does not work. Flag wraps around pole.

Mounted on brick wall at approx 45 degree angle. Top swivel doesn't work very good. Top of flag gets twisted up 3-4 times, but the bottom of the flag does not. Now my flag is stretched out at the top.
