I like these mat boards. They are a nice thickness and paper quality. The only thing that I didn't read to start was that it has a certain number of mats and a certain number of backings. I thought it had twice the amount of map boards that it did have. The sizes are accurate and work great for if you want to paint a map board to make it a different color

Purchased bulk inexpensive frames (check my other reviews) and wanted to find a way to turn them into collage frames without the usual high cost. These were perfectly priced and you can use the pre cut for mounting regular sizes, but this kit comes with solid backing pieces of the same quality and thickness that with a little patience and a good craft knife you can cut multiple openings to make custom collage frames. I’ve had a lot of fun creating a full hallway of coordinating frames and collages of family memories from over the years at a fraction of the cost of purchasing ready made at the store. Highly recommended.

I have been decorating my house lately with thrifted frames, and unfortunately, most of them don't come with mats inside, and even rarer-- with white mats. If you've ever stopped by chain craft stores, a typical mat to cover a 4X6in photo is $2, and 8X10 photo is around $5, often times much more expensive than the secondhand frames I buy, so this purchase was very reasonably priced. However, the mats are very thin, about 2mm at most, whereas ones I've bought at the store is typically 3mm or thicker, which makes a huge difference in how it elevates the image and frame. The mats are also bright white, which give off a very modern but slightly cheap look, so those looking for something with an off-white color that's typically sold in stores will be disappointed. The mats are also smooth, like cardstock, so those looking for something with a little bit of texture should look elsewhere.Regarding the size, I saw a review that complained about the cutout being too small. For example, the 11X14in frame for an 8x10in photo has a cutout that is 7.5X9.5in. This is purposely designed so that the 8X10in photo has enough edge left on the outside for you to tape the photo in place, otherwise the photo will fall through the cutout. This is typical for a photo mat bought in stores. You can expect the photo cutout for all the differently sized mats to be roughly .25-.5 inches smaller in order to properly contain standard-sized photos.Lastly, my feedback to the sellers is to 1) improve the protective cover on the edges and 2) type accurate measurements into the description. A few of my 11X14in mats had slightly smushed edges. The edges are packaged and covered by thin cardstock to protect them. I recommend investing in a thicker cardboard cover or adding something extra for better protection. Overall, this was a pretty good purchase. Since these were such a reasonable price, I would be interested in buying from the seller again if bigger sizes are available. See photos.

All inclusive kit comes in handy when you are framing images. Worked out just fine for me.
