Okay first off, this one already has the metal sleeve so that you wont utilize the stock one and clean it inside out by brushing off the rubber as others have mentioned. The back draw is that you are having to use more pressure to install it. I have seen methods of people using 10 ton press machines to push these bushings in the control arms. I haven't had any luck using certain methods such as the ball joint press so instead I used one of the coupling the fit over the poly and onto the sleeve, placed another adapter on top that conforms to the screw rod that comes with the ball joint pressing kit and started bashing it with a mallet. It worked.A few tips would be to apply Teflon tape or plumbers tape around the metal sleeve of the bushing and as well as around the inner sleeve to help prevent squeaking noise later down the road. Additionally, you can freeze the bushings for 24 hours so that they are slightly compressed to make fitment easier. You can also minimally sand down the out sleeve to ease the process of pressing the bushing in if not pressing machine is available. I hope this helps.

So far so good. A serious PITA to get old bushings out, and not quite so bad to press these new ones in. Recommend borrowing the large 27 piece press kit from AutoZone if you don't have specialty tools. You'll need a strong press or good table vise as well. Bushings seem to be high quality and hope to last as long as our 4runner.

First off...the package from Amazon was missing pieces so it was returned and I ordered direct from Whiteline. Their customer service is exceptional.Overall this is a good product for its intended use on the suspension. The installation on a 2nd gen Tacoma is the pits. Absolutely horrible install compared to using an ES kit...it's a different install process, I know, but achieves the same result. The issue is that the new Whiteline bushing sleeves need pressed into the control arms and they are a total B to get done in your garage without a proper press and alignment tools or building a tool. I've pressed a lot of bushings and sleeves in my time and these seemed improperly sized for the purpose. Perhaps this is a kit that's more universal in size to fit other models? I wish they would look into this and adjust or sell a press tool that a person can do in their home shop without a press. I used a rented ball joint kit from a local auto parts store, 5/8" threaded rod, and an assortment of washers and nuts to press the sleeves in place. But they work great. No squeaky joints and a solid ride paired with other upgraded suspension bits.

Like the title suggests, these are a game changer!! I replaced my 265k OEM bushings with these, and WOW, my GX drives & rides SO much better. They were easy enough to push out & push in. Typical install for poly bushings. If you're on the fence, just get them!

Pressed in my 2008 4Runner perfectly. Looks like good quality. If this review is unchanged, them i'm still happy with them. If they fail ill post back up and change it.No, they are not tapered like OEM, they press in the entire length of the sleeve. It fits and works great. Make sure you press them in the correct direction, they look the same, and will press in either way, but one side of the bushing has more poly sticking out. The side with the part number faces out.

Well the bushings fit and ride great on my 2009 Tacoma. My only issue with them is that they squeak. I talked to the guys at white line and they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, excellent customer service. I tried switching greases and it did not improve. I will be going back to OEM bushings because I can’t stand squeaks

First off if you're installing these remember that the longer poly portion faces outward, and don't follow "serial numbers face outward" mine had numbers stamped on the shorter side so this advice is useless.A bottle jack and some heat will make short work of removing the OEM sleeves/bushings, and then a wheel bearing puller/press kit will make easy work of installing the new ones! This mod made a huge difference in how my FJ goes through a turn!

Great Quality and fit my 2003 sr5 4runner. Install with the part numbers facing out and the small holes horizontally in the control arm. These do require a press to install
