Whiteside Machine Company has been in the router bit business for over 30 years providing customer with quality products while at the same time striving to achieve complete customer satisfaction. Several woodworking magazines have tested Whiteside versus the competition and selected Whiteside as the winner for best router bits available in the market. Whiteside Machine Company was founded in 1970 as a general purpose machine shop in the basement of Bill & Bobbie Whiteside's home. Located in Western North Carolina near the furniture manufacturing town of Hickory, the company was often involved in making repairs or special parts for the furniture and woodworking field. A strong commitment to customer problem-solving, a can-do attitude, and innovative ideas, along with a growing core of dedicated employees, helped the business evolve into a manufacturer of woodworking equipment and tooling. Primarily through repeat business and referrals, the tooling business continued to grow to meet a demand for quality production router bits as well as custom application tooling. Today, Whiteside Machine occupies a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and produces a complete line of solid carbide and carbide tipped router bits. Whiteside's quality, innovation, and customer commitment is still present in our superb product line, in the design of custom tooling to fill special customer requirements, and in the development of special machinery and tooling for our own manufacturing use. As always, Whiteside Machine is continuously striving to improve our product through new technology, improved production techniques, and ongoing research and development efforts; along with rigid quality control, vital customer feedback and extensive field testing. You cannot go wrong with these bits!!Seriously, every bit I have from them has been fantastic. Sharp and cuts smooth...everything you need. Used this for some fluting. I bought the big one knowing it can do small and big later if needed.

Fantastic router bit, works flawlessly well worth the price. I received this bit in the mail today and had a cutting board I’ve been working on and was just waiting to add in a juice groove. This bit was perfect I made two passes first one 1/4” depth second one was final depth at 1/2”, absolutely no burning or tear out. Highly recommend.

I purchased this bit primarily for routing juice grooves into cutting boards, works flawlessly for this intent. I've not had any problems with tear out and put this bit through many cutting boards and it still seems to perform just as well as the day I bought it.

How did this make it past quality control? Had the bit for about six weeks before I used it, so seller won't support a return. The fracture is clearly through the bit. If I had spun that thing up there's no telling what or who those chunks of steel would have gone through.

Like all of my Whiteside router bits, this bit worked perfect when making a "juice groove" on a cutting board. No burn or tear out. I think Whiteside makes the very best bits.

Can't beat it for the price. Durability better than average for this price range.

They arrived so needed a long 3/4 round nose bit to rout some juice flutes in cutting boards. I have a template that I use with a 1" template guid' I . I did 4 boards taking a 1/16 t0 1/8 on each pass, so that added up to a lot of passing. So after routering all the boards the bit was as sharp as the first pass. (Maple cutting boards) So I would defiantly recommend this bit.
