I bought this product because I wanted to buy a replacement lid for one of my jars. I resigned myself to possibly having to buy a product that was imported, but when I saw this was made in the U.S.A., I decided to purchase a set of regular lids and a set of widemouth lids, both with flaps. Before the purchase I read the reviews. As some of the reviewers have stated, the lids do leak when pouring liquids. In this instance, I used the widemouth lid with a large (64 oz.) Ball jar. The lids come with rubber rings, and at first I inserted the ring inside the lid. When I tried to pour a drink, there was a lot of leakage. I took the ring out, screwed the lid back on and tried to pour again. There was still some leakage, although not as much as before. I decided to keep the lid on, but I fit the rubber ring underneath the lid because there was some space between the lid and the jar which was the cause of the leak. This time, there was no leakage when I poured the liquid.Other than this problem, I have no other complaints with the product. The spout has a flap to close the opening when not in use and the pour was great, even with a thick liquid such as egg nog.I’ve decided to keep the lids now that I figured out how to prevent leaks, but the company may need to improve their product by making the lids a better fit with jars.

These are really great! I use them for simple syrup and tea. They fit a variety of jar brands. They don't leak. They're just great lids to multi-purpose your mason jars.

When you receive them you need to pay attention to how you put the ring seals on the lid. I put them on the mason jars and they pour great no leaks wha so ever..
