I bought this telescope eyepiece camera so we could take pictures and videos of the moon and night sky. It is easy to use, you can charge it with your android phone charger or any other USB charger. You simply attach the camera to your telescope eyepiece and then connect your phone or tablet to the local wireless network of the eyepiece. With the app you can then see through the telescope and capture photos or video. This is much easier than cellular adapters, because you never have to touch the telescope when you have the image in view. Just save pictures or video on your phone or on the micro SD card on the eyepiece.I recommend this for anyone who wants to take photos of images through their telescope.

This product is an interesting idea; however, it has some issues.1. They claim that this camera can do astrophotography, which is an interest of mine, but the camera seems to have fairly low light sensitivity,. As is, it may be useful during the daytime. It is not capable of imaging any stars at all in real time video while trying to compose an image. This makes the camera nearly useless for astrophotography,2. The app for this product works for normal video capture and photos. However, I have not tried many of the features in the app yet.3. The app offers many features, but how to use them is poorly explained if at all. For example, I would like to take timed exposures with shutter times longer than a quick snapshot. They say the camera can do it. The instructions to use this capability don't make sense. So, I have not been able use this function.4. The camera white balance automatically shifts under certain image compositions and is inaccurate. This function needs to have manual and automatic controls. The white balance algorithm is wrong in some situations and needs to be corrected.5. As far as I know, there is no way to update the firmware in the camera to correct these issues. If my product is defective, please let me know, because the product description advertises capabilities I am not able to access.. i like the idea of the product, but I may return this product because of these issues.

Like other reviewers here, the more I use and get used to this camera the more I like it. I use on a small reflector telescope and a high quality monocular. It is easier for me to use then looking through the eyepieces, which require contorting my body uncomfortably, especially when the instruments are mounted on tripods and tables. And several people can view the image at once, which is a big advantage over an eyepiece. And takes photos as well, of pretty good quality, all remotely. The camera also rotates while attached to an eyepiese which allows me to view erect images from my reflector telescope, a big advantage.Switching from large monocular eyepiece to telescope eyepiece requires slipping on some pads which are included with the unit, but you need to keep track of these when off. I put them in a small prescription bottle and label it.You adjust to different diameter eyepieces using a slip ring (as well as the afore mentioned pads) which can be a little hard to turn at times.I haven't succeeded in using the time lapse modes, which another reviewer figured out and posted.Like others I bulked at loading the required app as it seemed like it could allow outside snooping. In fact I thought of returning the unit when I discovered the install mentioned a VPN. I am not convinced it is totally safe yet, but since the phone/tablet is disconnected from the Internet while running I'm a little less worried. The battery has lasted a few hours so far, and the unit powers down when nothing is connected to its builtin hotspot for a while.

This is a fairly decent eyepiece camera that will capture the moon very nicely when paired with your optical system that uses 1-1/4†and smaller eyepieces. Will also work on small finders and an ocular on common binoculars. Not for the larger 2†eyepieces. The instructions for connecting and use with the app are three stars

I bought this as an accessory for my Celestron telescope when I go out to the field. The images are very good and the video is nice too. I really like that it is wireless, this means fewer chords to chase in the dark while stargazing.
