It’s smelly. I was under the impression it had fruits and veggies in it, which it does not, this was a disappointment. Some of the seeds seems rather large for parakeets, but I will see how mine do with it. They added yellow and blue food coloring for some reason to parts of this feed, which I see no purpose in. I also question the quality of the grain as I have concerns about pesticides used on crops. The packaging was well done however I did transfer into a glass bowl with a tight lid that I keep refrigerated and pull one pint at a time that I keep buy my birdcage. I felt like this would keep the feed fresh and maybe prevent bugs as some people in these reviews have complained about. It’s my first try for this food and I will make a fruit and veggie supplement myself as I give it a try. I may or may not order again I have to see how my birds will do and how I feel overall after a couple of weeks.05/16 updateMy parakeets don’t care for this feed. Many pieces are just too large. It smells and there are no fruits or veggies in it. They are always anxious to get to their food every morning but not with this food. They jumped around back and forth not even wanting to go to their food bowl. I won’t purchase this again.
