The EZ Lok mechanism is not suitable for quick string changes the way "standard" locking tuners are designed, with the locking screw. Nonetheless, they carry some benefit of standard locking tuners, namely you can get strings set up with fewer wraps around the post for overall better tuning stability. If you don't like the EZ Lok method of wrapping the strings you can still use these tuners as standard tuners - all these are is a standard Gotoh styled 10 mm tuner with two string holes instead of one. for around $30 bucks you get decent quality 19:1 high ratio tuning machines. what's not to like? these are definitely higher quality than the $15 sets you can get on amazon. also cheaper than Gotohs, which run in the $60 range. excellent value.

These tuners were a perfect fit for my Squire Bullet Telecaster. Just had to drill one extra hole for each, but it doesn't show and they look fabulous. Makes changing strings quicker and they hold tune much better than the stock tuners. Great upgrade for the price.

These thing are much higher quality than I thought, wish they made them in 8mm also so I could add them to some other guitars I have without having to drill the headstocks out to 10mm. Either way these things are a steal.

These are nice looking mid price set of tuners. I was buying cheap locking tuners off Ebay and started having bad luck with quality. I thought moving up to Wilkinson would be better and for the most part they are. I only got one bad insert. Luckily I had a replacement from another set of tuners. For someone that didn't have extra parts around they would have to send these back for a new set. The other five inserts were perfect. So Wilkinson's got to work work on their quality control. Other than that they look great.
