I think this leveler was pretty decent, considering its price. I had seen several reviews about other buyers who had their levelers break after their first use or even before it being used, so I was a bit skeptical when I received mine. It didn't seem very sturdy, so I was afraid mine would break as well. I am happy to say that I have used mine at least 6 different times and it is still in tact. Even if it broke after my 7th use, I would say, since I only paid $4 for it, I got my money's worth.

This is a fantastic tool for leveling out cakes and creating multiple layers. It is extremely easy to adjust and it cuts through cake quickly and efficiently. We also appreciate that it takes up very little space. It has been a staple in our baking for over 10 years and is still operating/looks new despite heavy use and washing. We find this to be indispensable and recommend it very highly.

I bought this to replace my old wilton cake leveler that I had for over 20 years. I liked that this one had numbers on the sides so I could easily match both sides to the same height. However, it was very difficult to adjust the wire height. While leveling and torting my cake, the wire snapped on the 4th cut. Definitely would not buy again.
