I installed it on my trailer, and the base was too short. I wrote an email to check-in and had a new base in four days. They swapped it out for me. Also, I was a little concerned about the two-piece assembly when I ordered the parts. I was wrong. I secured the post to the trailer. Once I tightened down the bolt on the top piece to the base, the whole thing does not budge a millimeter, even when using the winch to pull the boat forward out of water. The bolt does not need to go into the wholes in the base, so there is pretty much unlimited height adjustment. Also, the safety chain retainer is on the base, so even if an issue arose with the top piece, the safety chain would come into play on the base. Bottom line: this is solid as a tank when tightened, has a great price, easy to install, and some of the best customer service I have ever experienced.

I bought this for my 4â€inch boat trailer frame. I needed something where the handle was lower than the rest for the front of the boat. The old one had the handle hitting the bow of the boat when you were bringing it in. This works out great. Construction is very solid. The holes lined up perfectly for my winch. I could’ve been happier.

Bought this for my hobie pa14, it sits a bit too high on my trailer even at the lowest setting. Luckily i have a bow plate for my front motor to help lock it in place. Might have to get a support for the bottom/keel though in case it rocks and decides to rip off the plate or handle on bad roads. Other than that, mines came in quick, seems sturdy, a bit rough. Does the job, will update with pictures and test run this weekend.

I trailer a classic Boston Whaler and it's my "baby". It's fully restored and gets the best of everything. This was my 2nd purchase. First one did not fit and I got a full refund.The stand is perfect for my 40 year old boat. It holds my boat securely and safe. I highly recommend this product and this company.

Only has two mounting holes and did not match up with the Reese winch I bought for it. Had to drill two new holes. The outer tube is so wide the nuts on the u clamps could only be turned a quarter turn and the washers bent on the weld for the inner tube. Expect to have to modify it to work. Luckily I had the things I needed at the lake that weekend.

I worked in metal fabrication for 12 years, you can’t get one of these made and galvanized for 125.00 which is what I paid including shipping. During the fabrication process these are cutout on a burnout table it’s a fancy torch, there are very sharp and jagged burrs left on theses parts so have a drimmel tool handy. Otherwise this thing is a beast and works perfectly,

Only two minor problems were found with this item. One was that the winch bolt holes didn't fit up with my existing winch. A single hole drilled at the correct location (between the existing two holes) enabled me to complete installation of my existing winch. The second problem was that the washers supplied with the u-bolts wouldn't work because the welds on the base were too large. I had to go to smaller diameter washers, so that they would fit flat. I also substituted nylock nuts onto the u-bolts, but lock washers would have worked as well. In general, excellent quality.
