Just recently got into making syrup and this is such a huge help throughout the entire process. I use it help pre filter sap out in the field before boiling it down and later when it comes time to strain the end result. Doesnt feel cheap at all, very sturdy. Ive dropped it a few times and no bending or warping etc. Super easy to clean too, just a quick blast of hot water and good to go. If i ever use this one to death i will absolutely buy another one

Works well to hold grease filter cone when straining fry oil. Sturdy construction fits different size containers.

I'm using for straining Homemade maple syrup after boiling sap... Strainers fit perfectly.. Better than trying to Pour, & hold strainer same time.. Would work for oil, syrup, anything, as the handles are great...Good product, good Value, good size.

Purchased this to hold filters for Maple syrup and held up as expected. This is a good quality filter stand. the only thing that I wish I had caught sooner was that this doesn't fold up like some other brands so it does require a larger storage bin. Not a big issue but something to think about.

Now on my 4th season using this filter stand, I modified it based on a fellow reviewer's idea to bend the arms in a vise. I matched up the arms to the handles on a Winware Stainless Steel 16 Quart Stock Pot with Cover. 4 velcro ties (or zip ties) make a very secure combination for less than $60, compared to over $300 for the typical 10 gallon stainless steel cone filter tank. I re-used the large cone filter as I tend to filter 2-3 gallons of syrup at a time and it still had plenty of life left.Update: I saw that there's a new "cone filter optimizer" accessory to add a peak inside a traditional maple syrup filter. The idea is to increase the surface area where the sediment settles from a narrow bottom to a wider ring. So I took this filter stand back to my bench vise and modified the narrow ends to fold upwards. This both increased the filtering surface area and gave greater clearance to allow more syrup to fill the modified stock pot without touching the filter and filter stand.

Stand works ok but could be built a bit stronger and a way to hold the cones a bit better.

I have been filtering cooking oil for years with regular coffee filters that take forever to finish. While this holder is a whole lot larger than i thought when i bought it, you can't argue with the results.Downside is the size makes it awkward to clean and store.

It works as advertised just a big big for home use. Still works but you need a deep wide pot for it to fit well. I would still buy this again with the filters because they both do an extremely good job
