I wanted a stainless steel cat litter box, which are stupid expensive. I'm surprised how much more affordable this steel pan is. I should have gotten one a little less long, but the 6.13" height is perfect. At any rate, it is very strong, which is great for the kitty and when I have to carry it some place else for it's weekly thorough cleaning. We had a plastic box to start with and got a steel one after reading more about cleanliness (litter boxes are the only problem I have with cats). We also use a stainless steel scoop and the pan does not have a scratch on it, so there's no place for bacteria or whatever. And nothing sticks to it which makes daily as well as weekly clean up as easy as it can be. It really is a great solution for an icky problem. [Cat guardians: look up Litter Genie. It makes life so much easier.]

I use these as cat litter plans because plastic absorbs odor and materials and steel is easier to keep clean

Bought this as a litter box for my average sized house cat after reading that stainless steel litter boxes are more hygienic and don’t absorb odors like plastic. Works great. No issues with splatter or mess. Much cheaper than marketed stainless steel litter boxes.

Product is excellent but the thin cardboard box is insufficient for delivery. First one I ordered was mangled. Replacement was in much better shape but still dented.

I use this as a litter box for my one cat, and it's perfect. I tried a number of plastic litter boxes, both with lids and without, and inevitably, they trapped smells and permanently smelled like cat pee and poop within a month, no matter how hard I cleaned them or what deodorizers I used. Someone recommended a stainless steel pan like this (on Reddit, I think), and I was willing to give it a try considering it was cheaper than the last plastic litter box I used. This thing is perfect. It's deep enough to hold a lot of litter and the cat doesn't kick much out. It doesn't hold smell, and it is so easy to clean. I don't even have to use any kind of deodorizer to mask the smell because there isn't any, and I don't have to worry about my cat breathing in all those trapped fumes. Also, this won't break. I broke the last litter box trying to scrape a clump of pee off the bottom of the pan. Not a problem here. The worst part is when my cat wipes his paws clean on the side. Forget nails on a chalkboard. Cat claws on a stainless steel pan are worse.

I purchased this pan to use as a litter pan for my cats. I was concerned over the dimensions of the pan; it's longer but narrower than my other litter pan. When I transitioned to this litter pan, I still had the other pan available for the cats to use. They slowly took to it. I am glad I purchased this and I even bought another so that I have a spare while I'm washing the soiled one. Like other users (regardless if they were using this pan for food or other) I did notice that the finish on this pan has a tendency to "stain" or "varnish"? I'm not sure exactly what to call it but even cleaning this with soap by hand, some of the finish seems to get discolored so that when it's clean and dry, you can still see "spots" where something used to be. Someone who didn't know it was clean might think it was dirty. Since my cats don't care what the pan looks like and only care that it smells clean, this didn't change the # of stars I give the product.

Very thin and also terrible company to do business with. Tiger chef doesn’t disclose their “return†process until after you try to return. They try to charge a restocking fee. Shady way of doing business. Will not purchase anything else from them.

After 2 weeks of use, the bottom and sides, inside the pans are now rough (abrasive) to the touch. This should not happen if they are truly stainless steel. Will they continue to degrade ? Is it safe to continue to put food inside ? My old set of stainless steel pots and pans are still smooth after years of use. Can you explain why this has occurred with the pans you had sent ?

Pan is fine. My complaint is that it arrived with a customs charge. Using Amazon.ca I did not expect this and did not see a disclaimer anywhere stating that one might apply. The increased cost eliminated any advantage to buying on-line.
