The build quality on this corkscrew is good; there are no split rivets. The plastic collar is rigidly mounted into the base of this tool, and stays intact upon uncorking. This tool has a solid feel, and hopefully will give years of service. The only issue I noticed is the engagement of the screw mechanism with the outer handles seemed iffy at first, but a drop of mineral oil solved that. I HIGHLY recommend this tool for home use! A+++++

This works okay, but the plastic components suggested to me that it will not be a long-lived product. If it does turnout to be sturdier than it looks, I will try to come back and update this review.Update: so we are now a few years in and the components and gears still work perfectly, The photo is after 2+ years of fairly regular use. So, I increased my initial rating, as this turned out to be more durable than I thought it looked.

Bought this to replace a cheaper one made from pot metal that the handle broke off. While this stainless steel is stronger, the knife type corkscrew cuts the cork causing it to fall apart and making it difficult to remove the cork. Would be much better a with a twisted wire corkscrew piece instead. Twisted wire does not cause the cork to break apart.

This corkscrew worked on the very first try!!! It completely replaces the POS that I've been trying to work with for some time now!! I really like it!! It's bold, sturdy & heavy!! Made of heavy steel that should last for a long, long, long time!!! I'd strongly recommend it over the POS that I've been dealing with for so long!!!

I've gone through a number of corkscrews with uniformly bad results. It seems, like most every tool, they've been cheapened to the point of lasting less than a year of use.But I have to say, Lestaven corkscrew is the best one I 've ever seen! It's Heavy-Duty. Not only does it look really nice, it works amazing!Many other corkscrews that I have used would either tear apart the cork, have a hard time screwing in to the cork, or would bend under pressure. After trying this corkscrew, I'll never have to deal with those problems again! Also, this corkscrew is weighted so it makes it even easier to slide it into the cork. This is especially good for keeping the oressure off of your wrists. No more struggling to get the screw into the cork! And as a bonus, it looks really nice and whiney, perfect for using at a party or even as gifts for wine lovers!

The plastic piece at the base of the corkscrew popped out immediately. In general, it feels flimsy and cheap. Pay a drop more for a better quality corkscrew.

This arrived in 2 days and worked well. I didn’t even realize the bottle was corked until I brought it home and removed the foil cover. I have arthritis in my hands and was able to use this easily.

ho usato questo apri bottiglie , ...forse x una ventina di tappi ....questo è l'ultimo risultato...vite spezzata e guarnizione staccata ...pessimo prodotto ..neanche lo restituisco x non pagare il reso ...visto anche il prezzo , ...non costa molto , ma x cifre molto inferiori si acquistano dei prodotti migliori ....!!!!.....per finire , è anche assemblato male ...i manici ballano troppo ...!!!
