I’m a painter and I recently purchased these brushes. So far, they’ve worked really well, even though I initially thought they wouldn’t last long without the bristles bending. However, they’ve surprised me, as they’ve lasted much longer than I expected.

I got these wire brushes to create a distressed look on lumber and wood that I'm using to build several custom treasure chests. I raked them over a small piece to see the raw result (see pic) and I'm super happy with how this is going to look on the chests after a little sanding! I was able to rake these brushes over the wood with more force than I was expecting and they held right up to it.The brushes are 10" long from tip to tip – that's 5" for the handle and 5" for the bristles. The handles are rubberized and have little bumps between which you can place your fingers. This is probably supposed to give you a better sense of stability when using the brushes. For me, though, the placement of the bumps seemed like it was made for a slightly smaller hand – I could still get my fingers in the right places but it didn't feel all that comfortable. There's a hole in the handles if you like to hang things.
