The Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver 4K is a plug-and-play wireless extender that allows you to stream video, audio, and files from devices like laptops, TV boxes, or projectors to monitors or other displays without the need for HDMI cables. Supporting both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless connections, this product promises high-quality streaming with a convenient, wire-free setup. Here’s a detailed review based on its features, performance, and overall value:Pros:4K Support:One of the standout features of this wireless HDMI extender is its ability to support 4K resolution. Whether you’re streaming movies, videos, or giving a presentation, the ability to deliver ultra-high-definition (UHD) video quality provides a much-improved viewing experience. It’s especially beneficial for home entertainment setups or professional environments where clear, crisp visuals are a must.Plug-and-Play Setup:As a plug-and-play device, the installation process is very simple. You don’t need any complicated software or setup—just plug the transmitter into the HDMI port of your source device (like a laptop or TV box) and the receiver into the HDMI port of your display (like a TV or monitor), and the device will automatically establish a connection. This makes it a great option for users who want a hassle-free, quick solution for wireless streaming.Dual Band (2.4GHz/5GHz):The ability to use both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless bands is a big plus. The 5GHz band is typically faster and has less interference, making it ideal for high-bandwidth applications like streaming 4K content. The 2.4GHz band is better for longer-range connections, though it may have more interference in crowded Wi-Fi environments. This dual-band support allows users to choose the best frequency for their specific needs.Wide Compatibility:The wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver are compatible with a variety of devices, including laptops, TV boxes, projectors, and gaming consoles. This broad compatibility makes it suitable for multiple use cases, whether for home entertainment, business presentations, or even gaming. The flexibility allows you to use this device in various settings, from casual living rooms to professional meeting rooms. No Cables Needed:By offering wireless transmission, this device eliminates the need for HDMI cables, which can be cumbersome and limit your setup flexibility. This is a major benefit for those who want a clean, clutter-free environment or need to quickly set up in different locations without the hassle of plugging in and managing long cables.Stable Transmission:Many wireless HDMI extenders can struggle with maintaining a stable connection, especially when streaming high-definition content. However, this device promises reliable performance with minimal lag or interruptions. Whether you’re streaming videos, presenting, or gaming, the connection is designed to stay stable, offering smooth streaming with little to no latency.Compact and Portable:The compact design of both the transmitter and receiver makes them portable and easy to move around. This is especially useful if you plan to use the device in multiple locations, whether for travel, presentations, or just rearranging your home entertainment setup.Cons:Limited Range:While the device offers wireless convenience, it still has a limited range. The effective distance will depend on the strength of your Wi-Fi signal and the environmental conditions (such as walls or other obstructions). Typically, you can expect a range of up to 30 feet or so in optimal conditions. If you need to transmit video over a longer distance or through many walls, you may experience connection issues or reduced quality.Potential Interference:Although the device supports dual-band Wi-Fi, wireless HDMI transmitters can still be subject to interference from other electronic devices that use the same frequency bands, such as routers, microwaves, and Bluetooth devices. If your environment has many wireless devices competing for bandwidth, you might experience signal degradation or occasional dropouts.Possible Latency in Gaming:For gaming, especially fast-paced games, you might notice some latency or lag. While the device performs well for streaming movies, videos, or presentations, the slight delay could impact the experience when using it for gaming or other real-time applications where instant feedback is important. For serious gamers, this could be a downside compared to a direct HDMI connection.Power Requirements:The transmitter and receiver both need to be powered through USB or a wall outlet. This may not be ideal for users who want a fully wireless setup or need to use the device in places where power outlets are scarce. Some setups may require you to deal with additional cables for power, which slightly detracts from the overall wireless experience.Price:Wireless HDMI transmitters and receivers can be relatively expensive compared to traditional HDMI cables. While the convenience of wireless streaming is undeniable, the price tag may be a consideration for budget-conscious buyers who may opt for wired solutions instead.Overall:The Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver 4K is an excellent solution for users looking for a wireless alternative to traditional HDMI cables, offering high-quality 4K streaming, plug-and-play installation, and dual-band wireless support for flexible use. It’s ideal for home entertainment setups, business presentations, and light-to-moderate video streaming tasks, where the convenience of wireless outweighs the minor downsides like limited range or latency in gaming. For those who want a clutter-free environment without the hassle of cables, this product delivers good value, providing stable and reliable performance in a compact and portable package. However, if you’re looking for zero-lag performance for serious gaming or need to stream over a longer distance, you may want to consider other alternatives or adjust your expectations.Overall, the Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver is a great option for casual streaming and presentations, offering a convenient way to cut the cables and enjoy wireless, high-definition content.

Second round setup went very well! As noted below, first setup was likely user error on my part.* Plugged RX (receive) into the monitor, and powered with USB-C* Plugged TX (transmit) into the computer port, and powered with USB-C* Instantly started working!Great signal, video played flawlessly (1080p 60 frames per second). My initial setup was very convoluted, & it didn't work. I went back to what I was doing previously. I've had other HDMI remotes fail in this configuration as well. This particular setup has a powered HDMI hub that splits the signal 5 ways (hence, powered). The TX would turn on, RX would not. Being in a hurry didn't help either. I'm going to chalk this failure up to user error, rather than the device. Which as noted works well when it's a direct 1-to-1 scenario. What it's designed to do.I REALLY like that there's a short HDMI extender cable provided. I couldn't fit this into the 5 port hub due to space. Using the extender fixed that issue. The designers really thought about user needs with this device.Additional converters:* HDMI-female to Mini-HDMI, male* HDMI-female to Micro-HDMI, male ... which I could use for my Canon video cameras.* HDMI-female to USB-C [4K]Summary: Works well in a conventional setup. Plug everything in, works as expected. Additional adapters provided for users with advanced needs

I was impressed that this wireless HDMI extender came with an HDMI extension cable and adapters for mini and micro-HDMI. It also came with a USB-C to HDMI adapter. I needed the short HDMI extender to plug it into my TV because the adjacent jacks were in use.It was plug and play. I didn't have to do anything other than plug in the TX and RX modules to HDMI and USB for power. The sound and video played clear with no issues at Full HD resolution. The range was even pretty good. I could go into an adjacent room, and it played through the wall. I went into the garage, and it would not play through two walls. My only issue is the lag seems to be about a half second. When moving the mouse or typing, there is a noticeable lag. For most applications, the lag is not relevant. I would not recommend you use this connection to do gaming on a big screen.

This is fantastic and solved my problem of how to stream on my TV in a room where I don’t have cable. I have an older TV and didn’t want to spend money on a device like Roku or Apple TV. I got this to stream from my laptop and it works perfectly! You just plug one into the hdmi port on the Tv and the other one into the laptop. It takes a minute but screen shares/streams great! I did have a problem when I disconnected the laptop and then it wouldn’t connect. I disconnected all the devices and put them back and paired the devices again and did what the troubleshooting guide said and it worked like a charm. I haven’t had issues since. I am very happy with this as I can not only watch TV/Movies but also surf web and other apps with a big screen! Would highly recommend!!!

So nice to be able to use my laptop and project to an extra screen that is not a “smart“ screen. I use this every day for my job. I’m able to move anywhere in the room and my laptop casts easily to the screen. I can recommend this highly.

Bonus credit for including like ALL the adapters. The microHDMI worked well for my one of my uses. I hooked up a 4k cam and a portable monitor, and a screen capture device and I can setup an easy cam for wildlife or catching my dog stealing from the cat's dish ;). Worked at range across the house, and I couldn't detect any real lag on normal movie viewing. I believe you could game on it, although the lag might get a bit noticeable on more twitchy games. I did notice range was better if you gave it a better power source than a laptop or projector USB, although it did work off those just fine- even the mentioned portable screen's bonus USB.
