I ordered this wireless HDMI Transmitter/Receiver pair to use with my Network Video Recorder (NVR). Before installing this HDMI wireless set, I had a thick HDMI cable that ran across the room from the NVR to the big screen TV that I use to view my security cameras. We got tired of tripping over the cable. The transmitter and receiver were easy to install:On the TV end, I plugged in the unit marked R (Receiver) directly into the TV HDMI port. I used a USB charger to power the Receiver unit which I plugged into my power strip, then plugged the USB-C end into the bottom of the Receiver unit. A short USB-A to USB-C cord is provided, but you need to supply your own 5V USB charger. On the NVR end, I plugged in the unit marked T (Transmitter) directly into the HDMI output port on my NVR. My NVR has a spare USB port, so I used the provided USB-A to USB-C cord to power the transmitter and the light on it began flashing. Moments later it stayed lit steady and the picture from my NVR appeared on my TV.I did not have to do anything more to get it working. It just starting working as soon as I powered up both units. The image quality looked just as good as when I was using an HDMI cable. My cameras are 4K and the image looks great on the TV.This little wireless HDMI set has allowed me to remove the thick HDMI cable and eliminate the tripping hazard. Works exactly as I hoped it would and was very easy to get it up and running quickly.

Working at a job that requires frequent presenting on large TV screens and projectors, using HDMI cables have been the accepted standard to connect my laptop. Its a clunky and inconvenient way to get your data on to a screen - and sometimes casting to a TV isn't an option in all scenarios. This is where this ultra-portable solution shines... Its a fantastic alterantive.Somethings to note - both receiver and transmitter usually requires a power source ( powered by USB) , and one thing I noticed is that some people have an HDMI port on their computer on one side, and a USB port on the other, making it this weird thing where you connect the HDMI and then have a long cable run from one side of the laptop to the other - not a deal breaker by any means, but can be a bit clunky. Not as clunky as using some giant cable that limits your mobility though!Another thing to note is that this takes like 3-4 seconds to connect the first time around when connecting - not a huge deal, but since I've been so used to having an instant connection, I thought the product was broken at first. Be patient, and give it a few seconds to connect. There is no noticeable lag, but keep in mind I am showing spreadsheets and slide decks - and not necessarily playing youtube/music/videos.

===========Pros- Transmits video and audio easily.- Includes accessories for Type-C output and two additional ports used by some cameras.- Works as a plug-and-play device with no need for extra setup or adjustments.- Compatible with Android and iOS tablets and smartphones when an external power source is available.- Supports screen duplication or extension for flexible display options.- Provides fast transmission with almost no noticeable delay under normal use.=====Cons- Requires an additional 5V power supply for both the transceiver and receiver to operate.- Maximum resolution is limited to 1920 x 1080 (1K), which may not be sufficient for higher-resolution displays.- Button press feels different between the transceiver and receiver.- Does not include an HDMI extension cable, making it difficult to connect in tight or constrained spaces.

These things are great. I'm using it to send my laptop to my TV across the room (about 25 feet away) and it works perfectly. I used 2 shorter USB cables to power each end since the were very close to the HDMI connectors. I sure beats having a long HDMI cable running across the room, Haven't seen any issues so far after a week of using it.

Distance was too far for the signal to send without lag.

Bought this device to cast HDTV from a laptop (or phone) to a TV monitor, and it works great. There are a couple of details to note: 1) When connecting the receiving unit for pairing, we initially used power from a USB A port on the monitor, but that didn't supply enough power for the the receiving unit to pair (even though the power light lit), so instead we needed to supply power using a AC to USB A power block, and that was plenty to get into pairing mode and 2) After pairing, we had to switch the laptop's system sound in Settings to play via the HD Audio Driver for Display Audio to get audio to the monitor and complete the setup. The unit comes with the USB cords and HDMA adapters to connect to different devices.

This device is actually pretty good, however you have to follow the correct steps which is not totally clear from the very short manual.first you plug the receiver unit into the monitor/tv as well as its usb power cord. Then you long press the button on the receiver unit until it shows its in pairing mode on the screen,Then plug in the usb power cord to the sending unit and press the button on the sending unit, wait for the screen to show the units are paired up,Then and only then can you plug in the hdmi to your pc/device.I was not able to test this with my pixel phone because google has seen fit to block screen sharing on the pixel series.

Never really needed one of these until I saw it and thought it’d be a good idea to have. Since then, I have streamed from my devices and I’m now able to stream from my cable box to a TV located out in the garage. This is now become a must have in the tech department at our house. It does a great job and I’m totally happy. Five stars given.
